WWE name to miss six months, 2019 Rumble in big stadium, big NJPW injury, another Broken tease, Interview with DDP, Impact live event set, more on Enzo's release, new NWA trademark, Terri Runnels launches podcast, how Raw 25 was run, Smackdown audience, Stephanie at the announce desk in Philly, HHH promotes Takeover, WWE planning financial releases, WWE doing Rock book, next vintage Network content, and Questions on ICOPRO, Flair's bumps, unnecessarily burying Hogan and Bischoff, cursing in NJPW, and AJ Lee in the Rumble

Samir Singh underwent surgery on a torn ACL. He could miss a pretty significant chunk of 2018. We'll see how Jinder can get by without one of his surrogates.

Royal Rumble 2019 will be in a major stadium in Arizona. The goal is to have around 40,000 fans there; Royal Rumble 2017 had an announced attendance of 52,000, so that seems reasonable. WWE can still get big numbers for their most major shows.

- WWE followed the announcement up with a press release. It was smart to have it revealed on a more mainstream news source first.

NJPW's Satoshi Kojima has suffered a ruptured ACL and will miss at least six months. So, it could be a while before we see him in the States again.

Matt Hardy further teased returning to his Broken work from Impact Wrestling.

Diamond Dallas Page talked to TMZ about Hulk Hogan returning to WWE. Hopefully he makes a cameo at WM34 so we can stop speculating on when we'll see him again.

Impact has a live event set for March 4 in Ontario. It's good to see them getting momentum going again.

Enzo Amore was released by WWE due to not informing the company of the ongoing criminal investigation against him. He had been aware he was under investigation for some time before his accuser went public with the allegations, but WWE only found out about the situation when media outlets began seeking comment. This was seen as the last straw for Enzo, who already had quite a bit from management and his coworkers for his unfiltered attitude. Long story short, Enzo screwed Enzo, and he really only has himself to blame for finding himself in this position.

The NWA has applied to the trademark "The Dupont Network" through Billy Corgan's production company. We'll see what that ends up being; I assume it's a gimmick name of some kind rather than a network in the sense of USA or Pop.

Terri Runnels has launched a podcast on MLWRadio. Her first episode discussed her WWF debut and Raw 25. She picked the right time to start the show after her first big wrestling appearance in quite some time.

Raw 25 production was handled with Vince McMahon, Michael Hayes, and Adam Pearce in the Barclays Center while Triple H worked with IRS at the Manhattan Center. That had to be a chaotic night!

WWE released behind-the-scenes footage of their recent team-up with pocket.watch.

Smackdown drew 2.58 million viewers Tuesday night, slightly down from the last week's show. I'm surprised there wasn't a boost from the big Raw audience the night before. That's concerning, actually.

Stephanie McMahon will be a commentator for the women's Royal Rumble. I mean, I guess that makes sense. She's a former women's champion, and her dad won the match in 1999. I can't say I wouldn't have rather had someone like Beth Phoenix or Lita at the desk, though.

Triple H did a conference call to promote Takeover:Philadelphia:
- Kassius Ohno vs. Velveteen Dream has been added to the card. Good to see Dream's push continue.

- TM-61 will return to NXT on the episode taped before Takeover. I've missed them!

- HHH expected War Machine, Ricochet, and Candice LeRae to start out in NXT to prepare them for how WWE produces TV. So, that would seem to rule out Ricochet being the next cruiserweight champion.

- WWE is willing to discuss a sale. I'll believe it when I see it.

WWE announced they will discuss their Q4 2017 and full year 2017 financial results on February 8. I imagine it will be a lot of good news for them.

WWE will release a book on The Rock in October. That should be big.

WWE Network will feature WWF Coliseum Home Videos in February as the next vintage content. This will likely be followed by WWWF All-Star Wrestling in March. So, Thunder and Heat are still on the back burner as the company goes to older content next.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Maybe they'll come back to sponsor the XFL?

2. So I guess blame it on the alcohol?

3. Absolutely! The dirtsheets in general are far too harsh on some of the most successful people in the business, and too praising on some people who's legacies have been exaggerated. Seemingly it doesn't matter how well someone does for the business if it's not the exact kind of wrestling a particular critic likes.

Nothing to really add to 4. There are different standards in the West and the East in regard to language.

5. I don't think she has any desire to return to the ring, much less for WWE. This is one of those "hell freezing over" scenarios.

More wrestling tomorrow.
