Fan's created star gets action figure, CWC finals live?, NXT name out hurt, NXT announcer gone, Interviews with Natalya/NXT striking coach, Snuka's trial continues, ROH announcer under new deal, Batista buries Steph, Lio Rush update, more on CWC tapings, what's Lady Balls?, Harper return update, and Questions on who runs Smackdown, EVOLVE's anti-WWE angle, how great Owens is, what if WCW won the war, and CWC expectations

WWE presented a young boy with cancer a custom action figure of his created WWE character. That's really awesome.

The CWC finals will likely air live on WWE Network. It's going to be a big endeavor for the company.

NXT's Rich Swann has missed ring time due to an arm injury. I hope he's back in time for the CWC; he's been really impressive in his brief NXT TV showings.

NXT announcer Alex Reyes has been released after less than a year with the brand. He was a host for live events and worked with talents on their promos. Reyes had previously done announcing for Booker T.'s promotion in Texas as well as the Harlem Globetrotters. They've got a number of new faces there now.

Natalya talked about facing Charlotte at Extreme Rules and more. Their match could really be incredible.

WWE's new striking coach, former UFC performer Seth Petruzelli, talked about his journey. It's kind of funny WWE is trying to make their performers strikes look more real, since they go on about how they're a TV show with characters instead of a sport.

Jimmy Snuka's mental competence is being debated has his trial continues. I really hope he's not pretending to be demented in order to avoid sentencing. That would be pretty low.

ROH has signed Bobby Cruise to an exclusive deal for the remainder of the year. I haven't heard of any interest from other parties, but he'll be staying with ROH for the time being.

Batista took shots at Stephanie McMahon's character on Twitter. BASEDtista right on the money with her character being pushed at the expense of others. Refreshing to see someone at his level speak out about that.

Lio Rush is finishing up his advertised events for EVOLVE before becoming an ROH-exclusive talent. He signed a contract with ROH during WM32 weekend, so that will be his home going forward.

WWE's Cruiserweight Classic will be combined with NXT tapings in future months. That saves money from doing separate tapings, and allows the Classic to take place across several months instead of being done in one week.

It's believed "Lady Balls" will be the name of Stephanie McMahon's memoir, and a name pushed in branding her going forward. I suppose this is her version of "Genetic Jackhammer" and "grapefruits." There will almost certainly be a big push for the memoir on TV, which means a lot of screen time for Stephanie McMahon. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see her wrestle Charlotte at Summerslam at this rate. It could be a long rest of 2016 as far as the number of Stephanie segments goes.

Luke Harper is trying to get back in the ring around August or September. I miss the Wyatts. Bray and Harper definitely add something you don't get from the bigger Rowan or Strowman, although those two definitely fit with the monster vibe.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. The angle was about running Raw because the initial plan was to split things into two brands. Shane could run Raw with HHH and Stephanie running Smackdown. Just because someone isn't on-screen announcing angles doesn't mean Shane and Stephanie aren't backstage making things happen. I do like the idea of Smackdown being self-aware and booking itself, though. Maybe it's like The Patriots/La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo? I wouldn't put it past Vince to have an AI version of himself in charge as he ages.

2. The heels are getting heat and EVOLVE's getting attention. That was the recipe for success in the days before "everyone just go out there and show off all your moves!" Gabe knows what he's doing.

3. Owens is one of the best things in wrestling period right now. WWE made a great move signing and utilizing him.

4. As was alluded to, either Vince/the McMahons would come back as WCW deteriorated or someone else would pop up to try to cash in on those WWF fans, like TNA was made to "replace" WCW. Also imagine how many more nWo angles we would have gotten. Extreme World Order with ECW talents could have been pretty interesting.

5. Hopefully it's not just an imitation of ROH or EVOLVE. I want to see what the talents can do, but know they can tell a story that's more than just a string of impressive moves.

More wrestling tomorrow.
