Former WWE tag champ opening wrestling school, Y2J update, Bruno honored, HoFer hospitalized, Impact replay notes, Prince working on wrestling projects?, why Foley's interviewing Shane, another TNA name re-signs, TNA talent working AAA, HoFer recovering from surgery, more women and tag teams on WWE Network?, and Questions on HHH pulling a Brutus, Graves on commentary, weight divisions in wrestling, a woman's tag team division, and legends at WM32

Kurt Angle will have a meet and greet at the grand opening of Trevor Murdoch's wrestling school on May 14. Murdoch is president and head trainer of the Kansas City facility. No word on if he also gives singing lessons.

Chris Jericho is advertised for WWE's July 16 return to MSG, so he's not likely to end his current run in the near future.

Bruno Sammartino was honored by his childhood hometown. That's pretty cool.

Bobby Heenan will be hospitalized for a few days after a fall. I hope he comes along well soon.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
The Impact Wrestling replay on Saturday April 23 drew 48,000 viewers, while the April 30 replay drew 52,000 viewers. What that means for a potential second TNA show on Pop is unknown.

There were a number of wrestling-related projects in Prince's "secret vault," related to Koko B. Ware, The Undertaker, and Nick Bockwinkel. That's a wild mix. I wonder what Prince thought of the "Artist Formerly Known As Goldust" gimmick.

Mick Foley will do the podcast with Shane McMahon due to Stone Cold having a prior obligation. I'm interested to see how Foley does in the role.

Jessie Godderz has signed a new deal with TNA. I hope he continues to grow as a performer in the course of that contract.

TNA will be sending talent to an AAA event set for June 5, which will air on U.S. PPV. Josh Matthews will be on commentary for the show. So, it looks as though TNA and AAA have a relationship going again. TNA could definitely use more lucha names in the seemingly barely existing X-Division.

"Cowboy" Bill Watts is recovering from spinal surgery. That's got to be rough for the man closing in on 77.

There are rumblings of WWE following the Global Cruiserweight Series with one focused on women, but that could be down the line. Scouting women wrestlers from around the world to potentially join NXT/WWE is definitely a good idea, but I imagine they'll see how the GCS goes first.

NXT could do another Dusty Classic tag team  tournament this summer. Perhaps with the finals at a Takeover special the night before Summerslam? It's worth a shot!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. That would be a major mistake on a professional level from HHH. HHH would effectively be throwing the company's long-term plan out the window on a whim. If Vince can't trust his own son-in-law in the main event of the biggest show the company's ever done, it sends a really bad message to everyone else in the company, and to the world at large. I wouldn't think Vince would fire him outright, but I don't see how that kind of betrayal would be tolerated.

2. I'd much rather see Graves replace JBL, although it's much different doing commentary on a taped one-hour show versus three hours live on Raw each week. I wish WWE had more veteran "WWE-style" announcers they'd feel comfortable with in the Lawler/JBL "heel color commentator" spots. Taz would be worth trying out in that role, and I imagine there are other veteran wrestlers who could make it work, too. JBL in particular is pretty unbearable.

3. I could see some promotion trying it if they have talents in that enough weight classes. WWE likes doing small man vs. big man matches, so I don't see them doing that approach.

4. It's WAY too soon for that kind of thing. I don't think they have enough female talents to sustain a second division, especially if a brand split is coming. Unless they greatly increase the number of female superstars on the main roster, I don't see any reason to do it.

5. Yeah, like, what if Reigns beat Triple H for the WWE Title in the main event! There's a big difference between a throwaway legends beatdown compared to, say, if the New Age Outlaws and Kane beat The Shield at WM30. It's more of an issue that guys like Taker and Shane were more of the centerpiece of the promotion for WM32 compared to the people who are still taking bumps a month later.

More wrestling tomorrow.
