Fast Lane 2017 confirmed, NXT live event notes, injured WWE names back in action, Halloween is coming, big milestone for Goldust, Balor guest appearance in Scotland, and Questions on pushing Emma, loaning money to TNA, splitting the Rumble, HBK getting back in the ring, and why Shawn was champion after Bret left

Fast Lane 2017 has been announced for March 5 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I assume it will just be one brand on the show ahead of both brands being part of Wrestlemania 33.

At an NXT live event in Florida:
- Gabriel Ealy won a singles match. He's usually in a tag team alongside his brother.
- Dory Funk, Jr. made a surprise appearance. Elias Samson interrupted him, leading to a match between Samson and Wesley Blake after Blake made the save. Blake won. I think it's worth trying him out as a face.

Becky Lynch and Kalisto returned to the ring this weekend, so we should see both on Smackdown soon.

WWE is planning some Halloween-themed surprises for the October 31 Raw. I REALLY want to see Papa Shango.

Goldust recently celebrated the 21st anniversary of his WWE debut. He's made the most of what could have been a career-sinking gimmick, and he's still going strong.

Finn Balor will appear at next month's ICW Fear and Loathing IX in Scotland. Mick Foley had been booked for the show, but his WWE commitments prevented him from being able to make it. So, WWE is letting the injured Balor appear as Special Guest Enforcer. Balor worked for ICW before coming to WWE, so that's pretty cool for both sides.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. We'll have to see how it plays out. She's definitely better than just having a good look. I hope they let her showcase that.

2. Anthem/Fight Network must have faith in TNA to keep things going.

3. I'm not against the idea, but I can't say I wouldn't rather see one big 30-man Rumble with Raw, Smackdown, NXT, and surprises. I'm fine with the winner getting to choose which title they go for; it adds some intrigue to things.

4. I think that's the best chance of it happening, and AJ would definitely be a good choice to face him.

5. Not much to really add here. Vince wanted Shawn to be "the guy" after Bret left, so they went the direction they went.

More wrestling tomorrow.
