Superstars Reax - 10/1/16, TNA tapings going on as planned, new TNA investor?, Ladder War injuries, ROH debuts, and Questions on New York's new wrestling rules, Awesome Kong, TNA refunds, Shane buying TNA, and Punk fighting again

- Superstars:
- Zayn vs. Axel:
I kind of miss NXT era Michael McGillicutty just before his reboot.

Funny slingshot spot.

This is going pretty well. I like how they play off each other.

Axel's a good hand to have around. He "gets" the ins and outs of wrestling.

Pretty good overall. A lot more believable as a match than Kamaitachi vs. Lee or Ladder War VI.

 - Jinder vs. Neville:
Weird to see Neville being the one to start off with a hold. You'd think Mahal would be trying to ground him out of the gate.

I wonder if Neville wishes he was back flipping around outside of WWE instead of being Mr. Superstars/Main Event.

Mostly good beginning.

I'm liking Mahal's strategy.

That was pretty good to kick off the taping.

Bound For Glory and this week's TNA TV tapings will be going on as planned. These tapings should bring TNA TV through the end of the year. It's possible the last week or two of December are "best of" shows or TNA does another taping in mid-December to go through February or so.

The New York Post is reporting that someone other than Billy Corgan put forth the financing to ensure this week's TNA tapings take place. That will start a lot of speculation about someone new being added to the list of possible buyers and potentially gaining some power in the process of providing funding. It's possible the Carter family put up some of their personal money to keep things going through these tapings.

- This article also says WWE and Billy Corgan are expected to continue talks to buy the company in the week ahead.

Both members of The Addiction needed stitches after Ladder War VI. That match was absolute madness as far as death-defying stunts. I'm surprised anyone involved wrestled the next night. The Addiction did not compete at those TV tapings, so we won't see them in the ring again for a while.

TK O'Ryan and Vinny Marseglia were backstage at All-Star Extravaganza. They worked the next night's TV taping as two-thirds of the New Kingdom.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It looks like WWE's exempt from all this based on what happened at Summerslam. I don't see WWE moving some real profitable events from New York as a result unless the commission actually tries to enforce the rules against them. This is BEGGING for a Right To Censor kind of angle preventing wrestlers from using tables, strictly enforcing curfews, etc. The New York fans would eat that up.

2. She hasn't wrestled much since leaving TNA. I wouldn't be surprised if she looks to move on entirely from the business before too much longer.

3. If they're buying tickets to a free event, they're getting worked by someone!

4. I'd mark for a rehash of the WCW purchase angle with Shane revealing to Stephanie it was him who signed the contract buying TNA. They could even do a simulcast from TNA's TV taping to Raw! But there's no indication of Shane buying TNA, in reality or kayfabe. It'd be really weird for him to buy the company for himself while he's back working in WWE. I don't see it happening.

5. If someone's willing to use him and pay him, I expect he will! It just might not be for UFC after his big defeat.

More wrestling tomorrow.
