TNA Bound For Glory Reax

Read on for my thoughts on last night's TNA PPV.

- Matt's bedtime story:
This is already worth saving TNA for.

- Z vs. Trevor:
I'm glad we're getting this instead of Ultimate X or Terrordome.

I'm liking this. DJ Z is making the most of his size.

Z's working hard.

I like Trevor's ruthlessness and viciousness.

Mostly good. We're getting into flips territory, which is fine in small doses when that isn't the whole match (looking at you, Dragon Lee vs. Kamaitachi and Ladder War VI).

They're working pretty well together.

Lee's a talented guy. I'm glad he's getting a run at this level.

Another Canadian Destroyer this weekend? Geez.

- Drew promo:
Galloway's a compelling promo. I like his fire.

Drew burying Corgan.

NICE selfish heel promo from Galloway.

- Bound For Gold:
For whatever reason I'm a big mark for a battle royal type match.

Damn. Thanks for coming, Sutter. His wife's definitely getting a bigger push than he is.

I love how the fans are into this.

Robbie E what are you doing!? At least eliminate someone before turning on your partner.

Grado BTFO. Shades of Santino.

Spud's really making the most of his spot here.

Fun stuff between Tyrus and Spud.

Shera becoming TNA Champion and taking the title to India is the key to saving TNA. I'm ready for it to be revealed Great Khali bought TNA.

Tyrus has got this unless he's a big ol' DUMMY, yeah.

Pretty good work at the end between Tyrus and Godderz.

I'm excited for an Eli Drake push.

- Irvine/Bennetts promo:
Cool cameo. I actually want to see him fight Bennett. I think the Miracle could make it a passable match.

Not a fan of the Bennett promo.

- Moose entrance:
That was cool. I'm surprised this is going on so early.

- Moose vs. Bennett:
Bennett stalling.

Ugggghhhhh a flip dive in what's supposed to be a grudge match.

GOOD GAWD ALMIGHTY THAT DAMN NEAR KILLED HIM. Tossing someone into a ringpost is pretty intense.

And Bennett returning the favor on that big backdrop.

I'm liking the story of Bennett targeting the knee.

Another big piledriver kickout.

Kind of a flat ending, but the right guy won.

- Rex promo:
I'd almost rather not see the former Sandow if this is the best he and Creative have for someone who used to be so entertaining. He can be a good babyface character without being a bland "fightin' for titles" guy.

- Rex vs. Edwards:
Didn't Eddie Edwards use to have a tag team partner? I thought he was supposed to be back in the ring by now.

Fine chain-wrestling to start. I love that style.

Mostly good first round. Both men fought really hard to make an impression. I'm fully behind the Grand Championship gimmick now.

This is really solid, believable competition.

I guess TNA forgot to pay the light people...

They made the most of the techincal issues. At least nothing caught on fire this time.

Yeah that's why you don't go for a moonsault in a match like this, especially with a hurt knee. DUMMY. Yeah.

Nice clothesline spot.

BAH GAWD THE MATCH IS OVER BREAK 'EM UP REF!!!

That was an awesome ending. I look forward to the rematch.

- Rex promo:
At least Cena can't take it from him, eh?

- Gail's HoF induction:
It's worth noting there were female wrestlers in TNA before Gail, but Gail and the move to a two-hour show led to a big Knockouts division being made.

Great to see Hemme and Taryn on hand to put Gail over.

WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA. I wouldn't have expected Kong here in a billion years unless it was to laugh at TNA going under.

That was pretty great to put Gail over.

Loving this Gail speech. She's earned this honor.

POP for the Dirty Dutch reference and acknowledging Jarrett.

Also great to hear her put over WWE alumnae.

- Great War entrance:
AMAZING. Already monumentally entertaining.

- Great War:
Damn, Reby! Hopefully she comes back with Maxel for the ending to pay off the attempted kidnapping.

This is already crazy.

GOOD GAWD ALMIGHTY. A staple gun? REALLY?

Crazy, crazy match.

"Just go out there and kill each other with weapons." TNA might not be dying tonight, but someone else could if this keeps up.

HAHAHAHAHAHA Matt brought water from the lake.

This is crazy.

A lot of fun. Shades of what made the Attitude Era's hardcore division so enjoyable. Just so ridiculous.

Funny Jack O'Lantern spot.

So, does this have to end in the ring or what?

HAHAHAHAHA that guy running in.

Well, that's one way to get rid of Janice. Wild match.

Vanguard-1 getting revenge.

This is crazy af. I love it.

I love how Jeff can just go back to not being Willow.

Abyss takes some ridiculous amounts of abuse in these matches.

GOOD GAWD WHAT A POWERBOMB.

THEY'RE ALL KILLING EACH OTHER HERE.

Beautiful ending to the match and to the feud. It's been a ton of fun, and they should probably quit now while they're ahead.

- Maria interview:
I'm glad they're not postponing this match AGAIN.

- Maria vs. Gail:
Allie is the MVP of this angle.

Wow. Bennett's just a jerk. Where's Moose?

Good spots involving the brace.

Kim finally getting a lot of revenge on Maria.

NICE ending.

- Bennetts/Rhodeses:
My personal kayfabe is that Mike Bennett is responsible for TNA's financial woes, given the comments of trying to shut down BFG.

Wow. Cody and Brandi jumped right into the fire, huh?

That was fine enough. The Cody Runnels Free Agent Tour continues.

- Lashley vs. EC3:
GENIUS opening.

Lashley making JB do the introduction like that was great.

Awesome fight so far. I love a wild brawl.

SCARY dive spot.

Another "let's kill each other with big moves" match.

Lashley's such a believable athlete.

Good spot with the title belt.

Clever spot with EC3 hitting the spear.

I'm really enjoying this battle.

EC3 pulling out the frog splash was cool.

Lashley going to town on him with the chair.

Lashley has power, speed, and technique. Add that to a mean attitude and you have a dominant  force.

EC3 with shades of Kurt Angle.

I did NOT see Lashley winning there. The match was amazing, though. Great work by both men.
