WWE Hell in a Cell preview

Read on for my ideas on booking tonight's Raw special event.

- Kickoff:
- Cedric/Dorado/Cara vs. Nese/Gulak/Daivari:
This is the "warm the crowd up" match. It's not here to really advance a story or anything. The faces do cool flashy stuff, and Cedric pins Daivari with the Lumbar Check.

- HIAC:
- Bayley vs. Dana:
Bayley wins. No need to get fancy here.

- Enzo/Cass vs. Club:
I know I've been complaining about how the Club are booked, but them winning here more or less puts them back in the tag team title picture, which they just left. Enzo and Cass win to eventually build to a (face vs. face) tag team title feud.

- New Day vs. Cesaro/Sheamus:
Might as well have New Day beat Demolition's record at this point because NEW. DAY ROCKS. NEW. DAY ROCKS. NEW. DAY ROCKS. It'd be underwhelming for them to lose here. Sheamus and Cesaro move into U.S. Title contention.

- TJP vs. Kendrick:
Since this is my fantasy booking column: I think the cruiserweight division could use more definitive angles, characters, etc. We're seeing some of that, but sometimes it definitely feels like the "cool moves" division. I get the feeling WWE wants to appeal to the younger generation with something that looks like a video game instead of something with a slower pace and more story. And the MOVES style is big on the indies and all that. Personally, I want to see stories played out in the ring.

There's a good one to tell here with the veteran desperate to make his mark. If Kendrick doesn't win here, they pretty much throw away the best character in the division. I think TJP is incredibly talented and someone they can build around for years to come, but I think they can get some good heat on Kendrick by him winning in devious fashion, since the division is built on shaking hands and all that sportsmanship "who's the better wrestler" stuff. Kendrick gets illegal leverage with the Bully Choke to steal the title. Nese and Gulak join him more or less as "anti-cruiserweight" heels - Kendrick's the wily veteran, Gulak's the striker, and Nese is the powerhouse. The three of them make their marks on the high-flying names leading to Kendrick/Nese/Gulak/Daivari/Dar vs. TJP/Cedric/Dorado/Cara/Swann at Survivor Series.

- Sasha vs. Charlotte:
Sasha survives the war, leading to Sasha vs. Bayley at Survivor Series. I'd personally like to see Emma vs. Charlotte next. Emma deserves a chance at the spotlight.

- Roman vs. Rusev:
Roman wins after a bunch of crazy shenanigans with stairs, kendo sticks, etc..

- Owens vs. Rollins:
Owens wins after trying to damn near kill Rollins. Pop-up powerbomb on top of the cell? We pretty much expect a crazy bump like that in 2016. Might as well do Owens vs. Rollins vs. Y2J at Survivor Series.
