NXT and Main Event Reax - 10/26/16

Read on for my thoughts on last night's NXT and Main Event.

- NXT:
- #DIY vs. Bing/Lun:Bing definitely has good size.

Bing and Lun are still pretty green, but hopefully one or both pan out for the company.

I look forward to seeing Ciampa and Gargano on Raw. They're a smooth team of two talented performers.

- TJP/Kota promo:
That was pretty good overall. It's great to see more of Kota.

- Joe interview:
I love Joe painting himself as the victim and making a statement re: Nakamura.

- Aliyah vs. Billie:
Billie coming out like a woman possessed.

Alright showing so far from Aliyah, who's a face this week. I'd actually kind of mark for a split personality gimmick.

OK to set up the next stage for more from Liv vs. Billie and Peyton.

- Post-match:
I'm glad they're building up some new characters after the big 2016 callups.

- Potjes vs. Tye:
I like what we're seeing from Noah.

Dillinger was the fluid veteran as always.

- Tye promo:
They're doing a good job of painting Tye as a babyface without forcing him into a certain role.

- TM61 promo:
That was pretty good. I want to see more from this duo as personalities.

- Asuka vs. Trinidad:
Asuka is a killing machine in there.

I'm glad we're seeing Asuka hit her groove.

- Mickie promo:
I miss WWE Mickie. That was a pretty good promo, and we should be in for a BIG match in Toronto.

- Authors promo:
Pretty good work from the Hall of Famer and whatever the heck Akam and Rezar said. I would MARK OUT for a fake subtitles gimmick or something like what Shane McMahon did for Kaientai.

- Kota/TJP vs. Dorado/Ali:
Good action early as far as flashy flips go.

HA HA TIME FOR SPOTS!

THANK YOU KICKMAN FOR COMING TO NXT!!

Lots of flying here.

BEAUTIFUL Kneebar counter.

Nice ending.

- Main Event:
- A. Alpha vs. Vaudevillains:
Awesome mat work already.

Nice job working Gable over.

Pretty good work overall so far.

Jordan's great at popping in and going on a tear.

- Hawkins vs. Crews:
So, they finally just gave up and put Hawkins on Main Event. Can't blame them. In essence, James Ellsworth jumped over Curt on the scale of importance.

Impressive work as always by Apollo.

It's a shame Crews is more or less being wasted here. I wish he was doing something interesting/important.

Hawkins is alright, but not really much writing home about.

Pretty good work here.

That was the right ending, although I wonder where they go with both men now that this has finally paid off.

More wrestling coming up.
