Survivor Series '17 announced, Ellsworth joining WWE soon?, Tajiri working NXT, Colby joining NJPW, NXT attendance note, guest referee at NXT, and Questions on announcing Survivor Series '17 so early, NXT not selling out, Shane O'Mark?, more Taker, the Stud Stable, and double standards with Joey

Survivor Series 2017 will be in Houston, preceded by a Takeover special and followed by Raw and Smackdown in the same venue. This will be the 30th anniversary of the event. It will also be the 20th anniversary of the infamous Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels match in Montreal; I'm very glad they're not playing off that by having next year's event up North.

- WWE put out a press release on the announcement.

James Ellsworth is finishing up accepting independent dates, which almost definitely means he's in the process of being signed by WWE. I hope he has a good run and makes the most of a big opportunity.

Tajiri is advertised as teaming with Tozawa against #DIY at an NXT show in Japan on December 3. WWE will film footage for the Network at the event. Cool to see Tajiri get to compete again.

Colby Corino will be joining NJPW in January. I wouldn't assume this means anything one way or another regarding his father. I am curious how much ROH will use Colby going forward. We haven't really seen him in a while.

Roughly 1500 people attended NXT's show in Boston. Not a bad number by any means but the venue seated a lot more.

Darryl Sharma, a coach at Santino's school in Canada, worked as a referee at the Orlando party for WM33 going on sale. So that's pretty cool.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. They intend it to be a really big event for the 30th anniversary of the show.

2. They could be growing too much too quickly as far as the number of shows they're doing. Doing 1,500 or so is nothing to scoff at; trying to fill much more than that is only happening on special occasions.

3. I don't think they would. He was having a good moment with his kids. Heck, a lot of the roster marks out for NXT, too.

4. It looks like we will be seeing him more. I wouldn't assume we'll see him every week, but I definitely think we'll see him again before the end of the year. And maybe even at TLC?

5. Pretty funny to think of Foley as a stud.

6. There's nothing inherently misogynistic about men vs. women matches. It's all in how it's presented.

More wrestling tomorrow.
