Read on for my ideas for booking tonight's NXT special event.
- Asuka vs. Mickie:
Mickie takes Asuka to a higher level, but Asuka pulls out a mean streak to get the win. Asuka vs. Ember.
- TM-61 vs. Authors:
As much as I like TM-61 and want to see them used more, building the Authors as the next challengers to the titles and all around dominant monsters appeals to me even more. You can only beat them for the first time once, and you have to be careful when you do it, so let's keep them going with a win here.
- Revival vs. #DIY:
Revival because #DIY are headed to the cruiserweight division and 205 Live. Revival vs. Authors is heel vs. heel, but should still be pretty intriguing.
- Roode vs. Dillinger:
Another case where I really like one talent and want them to be able to do more, but it makes sense for the other guy to win. Tye gives it his all, but Roode gets the win. I wouldn't mind him using a low blow or something to protect Tye in defeat, but it's not 100% necessary since Roode should be going up the card.
- Nakamura vs. Joe:
Nakamura wins and we begin the countdown to Joe debuting in the Rumble. I don't really see much else for him to do down in NXT unless they bring in a special guest for him to face. Joe vs. Strong could be fun. Once Itami and Aries are clear, those are options, too. Waiting until the night after WM33 is an option IF they keep things interesting with opponents like Itami and Aries.
