TNA One Night Only January Reax

Read on for my thoughts on last night's TNA PPV.

I normally don't cover these, since they're often taped months in advance and are notoriously minimal effort affairs. However, this one's a live edition they actually pushed, so let's go for it.

- Lashley promo:
Again, right to business. Lashley isn't wasting time caring about anything other than the title.

- Lashley vs. Davey:
At least we didn't have to hear a Davey promo. Sheesh.

Lashley is NOT happy to see the former ROH Champion.

Lashley destroying people is something of an art form.

Davey is the wily veteran here.

Oh joy I sure missed this flippy shit.

God DAMN what a powerslam on the apron.

Hahahaha Lashley doesn't even care if he wins. He just wants to kick some ass. We'll see if that was wise.

Oh man. I hate no-selling.

HAHAHAHAHAHA take that, ROHbot. Hopefully Lashley beats both Wolves in a handicap match next.

- DJ Z interview:
Z acknowledging nothing ever changes in this division. At least Mandrews got out before Swoggle wins the title.

- Z vs. Lee vs. Sutter vs. Everett:
-- Fall One:
I hope The Man With Three Hs is watching to scout for 205 Live.

You know, this was the X-Division thing.

-- Fall Two:
Lee's certainly worth checking out for 205 Live whenever he's free.

This is actually heating up.

See ya, Sutter.

-- Fall Three:
I like the story of the monster trying to win ASAP, then going after the bad wrist.

Not a surprise. Fine enough bout. How long until they start claiming Z's the best champion ever?

- Wolves backstage:
HA! Yeah not everyone loves Eddie Edwards.

Davey vs. Eddie's definitely doing to happen at some point. I'm curious to see how long Davey sticks around.

- Robbie/Bram:
I loved Robbie E's push with Taz on commentary. OH! OH! OH!

Bram giving him a chance to do the smart thing.

Oooohhhh Bram no-selling the former X-Division champion.

Yay yet another dive.

- Bram vs. Robbie:
Bram's fun enough at the whole brawling style.

It's like everyone's going to the apron now. Sheesh.

Bram's believable as someone who could kick ass in a real fight. I wonder why...

Bram seems to be a better wrestler now.

HAHAHAHA Robbie messed with the wrong guy.

- Bennett/Maria:
Meeeeehhhhhhhhh.

I don't get what Corgan and Lagana saw in Bennett.

- Moose vs. Bennett:
I like Bennett trying to make the most of the stipulation.

I'm really impressed with Moose lately.

GOOD GAWD what a flip dive spot. Jesus that was a hell of a bump.

This is pretty fun.

Moose has a lot going for him.

Bennett's seemingly stepped his game up, too.

OH SHIT WHAT AN ACE CRUSHER!!!

WOW. Big bump from Maria.

- Eli promo:
I hope Tyrus gets out of the funk he's been in.

- Rockett:
Hey, that's one way to use your promo time to stand out.

- Rockett vs. Shera:
Basic enough work to bring Shera along.

Feels like they're stretching this one out.

That was OK enough.

- Rosemary/Gail:
This should be fun...

The Knockouts division would really be weird without Gail.

Weird stuff, but it's interesting for that reason.

Even when Gail can't wrestle, she gets to go over. Nice...

- Rosemary vs. Sienna:
This being an absolute fight works best.

Rosemary is something else.

This is going well enough.

I really want to see Rosemary vs. Nikki Cross now... or Rosemary vs. Asuka.

Well that's one way to turn things into your favor, Rosemary!

Good ending.

- Godderz promo:
Jessie's just kind of hanging around in TNA.

- Storm vs. Godderz:
Yeah this is going to be a three-on-one affair.

Godderz needs to make some friends, and fast.

Jesse doing his best to turn the tables!

BOOM. Goodnight Jesse.

- Post-match:
Well damn, you guys waited long enough to save Jesse.

Pretty fun.

- EC3 promo:
If only EC3 could dethrone Eddie...

- Hardys promo:
Yeah, no one believes Eli and Tyrus will dethrone these two. Nor should they do a title change here. 

- Hardys vs. Eli/Tyrus:
Well this is starting off pretty fun.

This is an exhibition for the champs.

Tyrus is going to have to save this one for his team.

Drake can move.

The heels could make a pretty solid duo.

Man, the Hardys are putting on a clinic here.

DAMN. Drake pretty solidly beaten there.

- Eddie promo:
God what a bland character. Jesus.

- Eddie vs. EC3:
I'm sure Lashley's just hear to get a good view of the match.

Nice back-and-forth to start things up.

EC3 has improved a lot from the Derrick Bateman days.

Oh look another apron spot.

EC3's really impressive.

This is pretty fun with Lashley's involvement.

I LOVED Lashley trying to get EC3 to destroy Eddie.

Hahahahahahah SPEARED.

Well this is a pretty wild match.

Not bad at all overall!
