CHIKARA going international, ROH+NXT+Smackdown live event notes, Flair commercial, new collection, Hart beats cancer, and Questions on the ending to the Rumble, Trump-WWE, people still booing Reigns, impostor angles, and WWE's booking of bullies

CHIKARA King of Trios 2017 will be held in Birmingham, England from September 1 through September 3. That's a pretty big move for the promotion. I hope it pays off for them in that important market.

Dirty Andy Dalton worked an ROH live event this weekend as part of a "Rebellion Recruitment" with Rhett Titus. Rhett walked out on him in a tag match the duo then lost. We'll see if that leads to any further use of Dalton.

Ric Flair was in a Super Bowl style commercial. Pretty fun for the small timeframe it had.

A New Day collection is now available on WWE Network. That's when you know you've made it; you have your own compilation available.

Bret Hart has completely recovered from prostate cancer. That's incredible news. I hope he stays cancer-free.

NXT's Ealy Twins were back in action this weekend, losing to Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford.

Neither Simon Gotch nor Jack Swagger worked this weekend's Smackdown live events. Mojo Rawley beat Aiden English in singles matches. I wouldn't read anything into that just yet, but it's something to note. It's possible one or both just got the night off.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I guess between a surprised reaction to Orton winning and a negative reaction to Reigns winning, they went with the former.

2. I don't see that really factoring into WWE's relationship with NBCU. They're more concerned with how much money they can make in ad revenue during WWE programming than any associations with Trump.

3. People have made up their minds to boo Reigns, and it's going to be very difficult to get them to come down from that mountain. The more they feel they're "forced" to like him, the more they could resist. It's not really a rational thing as much as a kneejerk negative reaction to what they see as Vince's vision of wrestling.

4. Fake Diesel was pretty much just a petty thing with Nash leaving. I don't see how it really did anything for anyone - surely it would just remind fans you could see the "real" Diesel on the other channel? So, release. I guess Fake Kane as the jobber since they did get a main event from Fake Undertaker. I do wish they would have done a little more with Fake Kane, though. He was gone before it could get really heated up. That could have been a pretty interesting story. On that note, I'd pop for Gallows and Anderson working as Festus and Fake Kane - I'm leaning toward Gallows as Festus and Anderson under the mask as Fake Kane.

5. That certainly makes sense as a possibility.

More wrestling tomorrow.
