ROH announcing update, Impact executive updates, Impact seeking more international partners?, more on Impact-NOAH, Anthem note, Impact contract updates, NXT event updates, new ROH match set, assorted WWE press, NXT live event note, and Questions on ready talents staying in NXT, O'Reilly's future, Balor returning, booking Goldberg vs. Owens, and the future of branded PPVs

Kevin Kelly could still work on-screen for ROH when not booked for NJPW commentary. So he and Ian Riccaboni will probably switch off the role.

Jeff Jarrett has more or less become the top executive in Impact beneath the Anthem/Aroluxe people. He, Dutch Mantel, and Scott D'Amore will be running creative. If they can combine the best of the FSN days with what's working now, they might be onto something.

- Jarrett could be setting up a working relationship with the World of Sport group in the UK as well as with Mexico's Crash promotion. Crash features a number of LU performers who would be unable to appear on Impact while still under contract for that show. Potentially, however, some names could decide they'd rather be part of this coalition instead if they get regular work and pay.

The plan for Impact and NOAH is to have some names cross over as well as some younger NOAH names get experience working in the West. Eddie Edwards has already been set for a NOAH show, and Moose has teased working there, too.

Anthem is looking to cut costs for Impact following the Billy Corgan settlement and loans for the company. This of course could lead to talent contracts being dropped or pay being lessened as Impact can theoretically make use of the GFW roster and other cheaper talent.

The Hardys and Drew Galloway have still not signed new contracts with Impact. I wouldn't read too much into that, because things are still changing behind-the-scenes and there aren't any tapings for another few weeks.

NXT's Northeastern U.S. shows are still going on as planned despite weather conditions there.

The Young Bucks vs. Lio Rush and Jay White is set for ROH's March 4 show in New York. This is expected to be one of Rush's last matches for the promotion.

The Miz will cohost ESPN's SportsNation on March 2 and 16. That's pretty cool. He's done a lot for them, publicity-wise. The company appreciates that.

Natalya will soon begin writing a weekly column for The Calgary Sun. That's pretty cool! I hope they let her talk about other promotions, etc. if she wants to.

Paul Ellering was not alongside the Authors of Pain at an NXT live event in Philadelphia. It could have been weather-related, or they just might not have booked him for an untelevised appearance.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It's good to have some veterans on hand to polish up some newer talents, and some names are kept on as draws for the brand as it goes on the road. Additionally, they want to debut a talent at just the right time. I assume they're waiting until after WM33 to use The Revival instead of calling them up right in the middle of a bunch of other stuff.

2. I wouldn't be shocked to see him pop up at Takeover:Orlando or the tapings afterward. I'm under the impression WWE is interested and it's just a matter of timing.

3. He could be a surprise for the week after WM33. Or they could put him against Joe at that event if Rollins is unable to go. Of course, it will be weird to explain Balor standing up for the guy who put him on the shelf. He'll be back sooner rather than later; they just want to make sure he's not lost in the shuffle of WM33. After that show, they probably won't have Taker, Brock, and Goldberg around, so they'll be using guys like Balor, Joe, and potentially Nakamura.

4. Owens doesn't "need" to win. He's probably got years ahead of him in WWE; he'll be fine in the long run. I'm fine with Brock kicking Owens low, flipping off Goldberg, and telling him "see you at Wrestlemania, bitch." KO can then truthfully say he beat Goldberg (by DQ). But we're almost certainly in for Goldberg destroying Owens so Brock can take the Universal Title from him. KO would presumably take the U.S. Title from Jericho to compensate.

5. There are no plans to drop the new format. It's possible they'll stick with brand exclusive PPVs as long as there are separate brands, outside of the Big Four events.

More wrestling tomorrow.
