LU to Netflix, Smackdown main event set, Foley OK'd for surgery, Interviews with AJ/Ricochet, new WWE mobile game coming?, WWE seeking global hire, ROH prospects set, another ROH TV taping set, matches set for Chamber show, Rollins out hurt, Brock MSG match set, Smackdown audience, Make-A-Wishers to WM33, Network collection back up, NXT rename, Rumble seating note, Flair back to podcasting, LU TV return set, more Rey-WWE speculation, cameos in the works for WM33?, Asian tournament update, Balor return note, and Questions on Brock/Goldberg booking, Ellering with the Authors, commentary botches, Trump affecting WWE, and why people boo Reigns

Lucha Underground will hit Netflix with Seasons One and Two beginning February 15. That's a pretty big move for the series. There's speculation LU will be picked up by Netflix going forward as its future on El Rey is somewhat up in the air.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton is set for next week's Smackdown. I would think that would mean we won't see the two of them face off for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania, but plans could change.

Mick Foley has been cleared for hip surgery, and will undergo the procedure when he has a break in his schedule. After the surgery, he won't be able to fly for about six weeks, so he's waiting until he completes all his scheduled bookings before planning to go under the knife. Perhaps WWE will write him off following WM33 so he can get the help he needs.

AJ Styles talked about John Cena, NXT, and more:
- AJ vs. Orton would be good. There are some parallels there as there are with Cena and Styles.

- See, while AJ was already one heck of a wrestler before joining WWE, it takes some adjustment to make what someone does elsewhere work in WWE. People really gloss over that aspect a lot.

- It's hard to boo someone who worked for so long to make it to WWE and finally made it.

- AJ's 39. I see why they want to get the most out of him at the main roster level.

WWE has applied to trademark the names WWE Tap Mania and Tap Mania for gaming and mobile use, so it looks like that's a future game or app title.

WWE is seeking a global mobility manager to work with international travel requirements. That's a pretty important role as WWE expands around the world.

ROH has announced the following names for the 2017 top prospect tournament:
- Curt Stallion
- Josh Woods
- Brian Milonas
- Preston Quinn
- Chris LeRusso
- Raphael King
-- There are two more spots open. There are some seasoned names there who are worth a look.

ROH has booked a TV taping on April 8 in Maryland. That will bridge from the fallout of the 15th anniversary show to the start of War of the Worlds.

WWE Elimination Chamber will feature the following matches:
- John Cena vs. AJ Styles vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Baron Corbin vs. Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz in an elimination chamber match for the WWE Championship
- Alexa Bliss vs. Naomi for the Smackdown Women's Championship
- Nikki Bella vs. Natalya
- American Alpha defending the Smackdown Tag Team Championship in a tag team turmoil match. Really? They're not going to do a chamber match for that? It pretty much writes itself.

Seth Rollins was injured during the show-closing angle of Raw. The injury is to the same knee that kept him out of action of Wrestlemania 32. It will be really unfortunate if he misses Wrestlemania AGAIN. I really wonder what they do with Triple H and Samoa Joe if he misses substantial time. Joe vs. Balor at Mania could be pretty great, but no way they don't have HHH in action if he's able to compete. I doubt they want to do HHH vs. Reigns again. Is HHH vs. Angle a possibility!? I'd watch the hell out of that, even if I've seen it before.

- Rollins tweeted after his injury was confirmed. It's really going to suck if he has to miss Mania two years in a row.

- Samoa Joe tweeted in kayfabe. Funny shit; it's the right move to use this to show Joe is someone you do NOT want to cross paths with.

- Rollins vowed to return from injury and pick up where he's leaving off: Tweet 1 Tweet 2 Tweet 3 Tweet 4 Tweet 5. I wish him a speedy and full recovery ahead of a long run of being healthy and successful.

Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens is set for WWE's March 12 show in Madison Square Garden. So, Raw will be out its current Universal Champion that night.

Smackdown drew 2.82 million viewers for the show after Royal Rumble. Pretty good bump. Let's hope they keep it.

Ricochet/Prince Puma discussed LU and more. While contractually he's a free agent, he can't appear on another wrestling program until Season 3 of LU finishes airing. LU is really going to be in a bind if they don't get their top names back for Season 4.

Triple H presented some Make-A-Wish children with Wrestlemania tickets. That's pretty big! WWE does a lot of good things for charity.

WWE Network has put its black history collection back up, featuring some new additions. Good to see them honoring an important month.

The former Heidi Lovelace has been renamed Dori Prange. She lost to Mandy Rose in a dark match at the most recent NXT taping.

In the Alamadome, there were a number of complaints about the seating during Royal Rumble. The problems stemmed from people being shuffled around to different sections. Running an arena that huge and being so far from a sellout didn't fare so well.
Ric Flair will start a new podcast with Robert Flores soon. We'll see how long this one lasts.

LU will return on May 31, meaning season 3 should end in October. There has still been no announcement of a fourth season, so a lot of talents could become free agents in 2018 and be on WWE's radar for a Latin American tournament, NXT, or 205 Live.

Should Rey Mysterio return to WWE, it would either just be for a few big matches or as an ambassador of some kind. It's possible if not likely he'll get a new deal in LU or take his own bookings.

WWE could have a plan using former women wrestlers at WM33. I don't know exactly what that would entail, but it's worth noting it's something being discussed.

WWE is in the talent scouting stages for an Asian tournament. We could really see some international expansion in the years to come.

Finn Balor is still expected back in time to compete at WM33, but there's no official plan for him.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. If Brock killed Goldberg at Survivor Series, it would ruin whatever mystique was left in the nostalgia act. But with Goldberg being able to surprise Lesnar twice, WM33 has a big clash with an outcome that could go either way. WWE wants the casual fans who will check out Goldberg to stick around for a number of big matches instead of just having the one-time boost for Survivor Series.

2. I think he's been a great addition to the act. He's a strong talker with credibility, giving his endorsement to the two Goliaths. I definitely think they should stick together once Akam and Rezar ascend to the main roster unless there's a compelling reason not to. I'd like to think Sinister Minsiter/Father James Mitchell would also be good in their corner, but I don't think they're going to use him for anything.

3. Botched call. It happens.

4. WWE is definitely playing with fire. It's entirely possible part of the audience will stop supporting WWE due to its connection with the president. I don't now how much of an effect it will have, but I definitely think it will be something that could factor into their business going forward.

5. Generally it's a contrarian thing to not want what "the suits" are pushing just out of spite. It's a pretty ingrained part of the culture. If someone actually thinks Reigns isn't worth pushing or whatever, that's one thing. But a lot of times it's just backlash against what Vince wants from people who have some sort of need to be rebellious and be part of the cool "smark" crowd that's "so much more cultured and educated than those sheep who watch WWE." It's particularly funny to watch this crowd turn on someone once the company does get behind them. Sasha seems to be the latest victim of this.

More wrestling tomorrow.
