Chinese signings to WWEPC, Patriots honored, WWE talent scouting, WWE game update, Rowan update, Swann out hurt, Rock+WWE Studios doing Paige movie, Raw audience, Smackdown dark matches, Impact partnering with Japanese promotion, and Questions on a tag team Chamber match, booking months out, pushing new talents, and WWE's treatment of AJ Styles

Four of WWE's Chinese recruits have started working at the WWEPC. I hope at least one of them do well for themselves.

WWE made a championship belt for the Super Bowl Champions. They had one hell of a comeback.

WWE's Gerald Brisco will be on hand to evaluate talent at the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Hall of Fame in July. Even if no one there gets signed right then, they could end up working at a local indie show and that could get them experience ahead of becoming part of WWE.

Tajiri was backstage at Raw ahead of returning to 205 Live.

WWE 2K17 is now available on PC.

Erick Rowan is training at the WWEPC as he continues to recover from his shoulder injury. I'm curious to see how he'll fit into the Wyatts/Orton angle on Smackdown.

Rich Swann has been pulled from the ring due to an ankle or foot issue. No word on how long he'll be out. Hopefully some new names step up in his wake.

The Rock and WWE Studios are making a film based on Paige and her family. The Rock will have an unspecified role in the film, and Paige will be played by UK actress Florence Pugh. It's going to be REALLY weird if they do a movie based on her life and she's not part of the company when it's released. I can kind of see them casting someone else to play a younger version of her so she can focus on wrestling, but it still feels kind of off to not feature a WWE superstar in a WWE Studios film that's essentially being made because of her.

Raw drew 3.12 million viewers this week, pretty much back to where they were before the Rumble. We'll see what happens ratings-wise if/when Goldberg beats Owens for the title.

Mojo Rawley beat Curt Hawkins in a dark match before Smackdown. I wouldn't be surprised to see that same match on Kickoff this weekend. They might as well.

After Smackdown, Daniel Bryan was the special referee when Dean Ambrose retained the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz. Bryan didn't take any bumps or do any moves.

Impact Wrestling has partnered with Pro Wrestling NOAH of Japan in a working relationship. Impact stars will compete at a NOAH event on March 12. This can potentially be a plus for both companies as they navigate 2017 and beyond. Impact wrestlers can get more work, more experience, and access to more wrestlers for upcoming tapings. I hope this helps jump start the company as they continue the Anthem era.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Well, you'd think they'd want to fill the single-brand show with more than one gimmick match like they did for Hell in a Cell. I guess they want the one chamber match they do have to really stand out rather than having to compete with the same stipulation match earlier in the show. There are only so many spots you can do in that kind of match and they don't want to expose it too much (for once).

2. Given how much stuff WWE has to book, I'm not surprised it's not booked out too much in advance. That's a LOT of TV to write. Plus, they get ratings data back and could learn something they aren't planning on being a big deal catches on and/or something they want to get over well isn't resonating with audiences. So I cut them a little bit of slack. All that said, yes, it's good to have some long-term plans set up. Especially for Wrestlemania and other big shows.

3. I expect we're going to see Bray vs. Orton. Bray winning there would establish him as a new top guy. Chill.

4. Yeah, giving him the WWE Title within a year of signing, and having him beat Cena clean at Summerslam? They're totally throwing him under a bus. Some people spend way too much time in the echo chamber of the IWC.

5. That was better than a lot of Cena opponents have gotten. And you can't really blame Cena for what the Today Show said about AJ. It's worth noting a lot of WWE fans never saw AJ before Royal Rumble 2016, so he's still new to the casual audience. He doesn't have the name value of John at this point.

More wrestling tomorrow.
