Why the McMahons were absent, what happened after Smackdown, main event set for Smackdown, Andre press, WWE book and DVD updates, AJ Lee signings announced, new ROH anniversary match, Smackdown audience, action figure poll, new WWE.com series, WWE hiring, Joe on the road, more Goldberg, Balor update, Interview with Dunne, and Questions on Cena winning No. 17 at Mania, Flair's title reigns vs. Cenas, NXT callups, Goldberg vs. Owens, and Vince's feelings on leaks

Vince and Shane McMahon missed Elimination Chamber and this week's TV due to Linda having important business in Washington, D.C. That certainly makes sense. I assume they'll all be back to their behind-the-scenes and on-screen roles this coming week.

Dean Ambrose beat The Miz after Smackdown.

Smackdown will have a battle royal to determine who challenges Bray Wyatt for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. I think a former Family member could end up taking that one. I wouldn't be shocked if Orton ends up involved in the title match, too. Let this play out for a bit and see what they have in mind.

A number of wrestlers shared some Andre the Giant stories ahead of the HBO documentary. That should be a memorable viewing experience.

WWE will release a book subtitled "Absolutely Everything You Need To Know" this October. That should be interesting. What does that cover that the encyclopedia and WWE 50 didn't?

WWE has released its Best PPV matches of 2016 DVD. Enjoy DVDs and Blu-Rays while they last.

AJ Lee has set up some more New York/New Jersey area book signings for right after her memoir drops.

Young Bucks vs. RPG Vice in a Las Vegas Street Fight for the ROH Tag Team Championship has been set for ROH's 15th anniversary PPV. It's pretty much a guarantee the Bucks retain so they can defend against the Hardys.

WWE's official rulebook will be released on the 28th. That should be pretty fun. I love snarky stuff like that.

Smackdown drew 2.63 million viewers Tuesday night, right in line with last week.

WWE and Mattel are asking what action figures fans want next. Imagine having one of all of the WWE action figures Mattel has made. Where would you even put them all?

WWE.com has begun "My Son is a WWE Superstar" as a series. That sounds interesting.

WWE is seeking a digital video editor and a social video editor, so that area is going to continue expand for the company.

Samoa Joe will start wrestling on Raw live events this weekend, competing with Sami Zayn. I assume Joe will wipe the floor with him.

Goldberg has been added to the Raw before Wrestlemania. As far as I know, he hasn't signed on for anything after WM33. It could be a case of him being brought back for Summerslam season or something if they have an idea for him. Presumably if he beats Owens and drops the title to Brock, he's owed a rematch.

Finn Balor is advertised for Raw's European events in May. I can see him popping back up the night after WM33 if he isn't back before then.

Pete Dunne discussed HHH putting him over. I definitely think WWE sees something in him considering he was brought in for NXT.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Not at all. Cena probably won't even be in the WWE Title picture at Mania. They used Cena to elevate Bray like they used him to elevate AJ. I don't think Vince is all that obsessed with the fictional accolade, and there will be plenty of other times to give Cena No. 17.

2. Either Bryan totally misspoke or it's just part of the work. There are definitely bigger falsehoods in the world today than those coming from WWE.

3. It will be a case-by-case thing. We could easily see Shinsuke end up on Smackdown after Mania. Or The Revival or Asuka or whomever is next in line. WWE will see where the talent fits the plans they have and plug them in there.

4. I still think we're in for Goldberg winning, with Owens fighting Jericho for the U.S. Title.

5. He doesn't like leaks, but he recognizes they're pretty much inevitable. There's only so much even he has control over.

More wrestling tomorrow.
