AEW event streaming free, new Fyter Fest match, Interviews with Cena/Road Dogg/Rey/Batista/Cody, former WWE titleholder at live event, NXT star auctioning gear, HoFer teaching at WWEPC, more NXT name changes, Raw audience, NJPW on AXS changing nights, AXS-G1 update, Dusty remembered, WWE studio show update, Sami charity continues, Alberto launching promotion, Rhodes added to movie, Cena movie updates, SDL dark matches, and Questions on WWE holding back talent who became stars elsewhere, wrestlers producing their own matches, 24/7 title logic, NXT becoming a full-time destination, AEW's production, and the BTE crew going over at DON

Fyter Fest will air free on Bleacher Report Live, presumably to get people to sample the product on that platform. That's an interesting approach after charging $50 for Double or Nothing.

- The show has added CIMA vs. Christopher Daniels, a natural followup to Double or Nothing.

John Cena spoke to TMZ Sports about his WWE future. We'll see where things go with Hollywood; he's definitely not prioritizing his in-ring life at this point.

The former Ezekiel Jackson visited at Smackdown Live's Monday live event. It doesn't look like he's wrestled since 2015, so I wouldn't assume he's in line to come back.

Mia Yim is auctioning ring gear to benefit The Innocence Project. That's really cool!

Sean Waltman is teaching at the WWE Performance Center this week. Good to see it.

NXT has seen more name changes:
- Garza, Jr. is now Angel Garza
- ACH/Albert Hardie, Jr. is now Jordan Myles
- Jonah Rock is now Bronson Reed
- Samuel Shaw is now Dexter Lumis
-- I can't say any of those names are an improvement. Yikes.

Raw drew 2.13 million viewers Monday. The only shows to do lower numbers in the show's history were Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve of 2018. They're getting hammered.

NJPW and WOW are moving to Saturday nights on AXS beginning July 13. Part of this is so AXS can show same-day coverage of G1 Climax on Saturdays. That's a big attraction for the channel, especially with Moxley involved.

Cody and Dustin Rhodes remembered Dusty Rhodes on the fourth anniversary of his passing. It's great to see Cody following in his dad's footsteps with AEW.

Road Dogg and X-Pac did a live podcast from the WWE Performance Center. It's pretty funny to see DX in management roles.

Rey Mysterio updated his injury status and more. I expected him to be out longer, so it's good to see he'll likely be back in a few weeks.

Renee Young will likely host WWE's upcoming Fox Sports 1 studio show. I really hope Cathy Kelley is involved, too.

Sami Zayn is auctioning Raw's referee shirt for his Syrian charity. That's great!

Batista discussed his wrestling career and more.

Cody promoted Fyter Fest on Comicbook.com.

Alberto El Patron is launching a lucha promotion in Mexico, which will have a weekly series airing Saturdays from 10:30 to midnight on Imagen Television. The first show on July 11 will feature, among others:
- Relampago vs. Heddi Karaoui in a lightning match (There are apparently a number of people using the name Relampago right now, so I'm not sure which one's working this).
- Thunder Rosa, Cristy Jaynes, and Stephanie Vaquer vs. Sexy Star, Lady Flammer, and Reina Obscura
- Hijo de Dos Caras, Hijo de Wagner (not sure who's using this name), and Dual vs. Bram, La Mascara, and Batab el Guerrero
- Daga and Flamita vs. Puma King and Rey Horus
- Mr. Iguana and Fresero Jr. vs. Bestia 666 and Taurus (not sure which one) vs. Laredo Kid and The Tiger
- The Lucha Bros vs. Chavo Guerrero and Mechawolf 450
- Solar vs. Negro Navarro vs. Damian 666 vs. Canek
- Alberto El Patron, Hijo del Fantasma, and Dr. Wagner, Jr. vs. MVP, Apolo, and Mesias

-- Alberto also hinted some current WWE stars would join the promotion. I'd think the Lucha House Party and Colons would consider going there. He's definitely got a lot of workers lined up already.

Dustin Rhodes has been added to the wrestling movie Thunderclap.

John Cena's "Playing with Fire" has been moved to November 8 due to Sonic the Hedgehog being pushed back to 2020. Cena is also doing a voice in an upcoming Dr. Doolittle animated movie.

Before Smackdown Live, Ember Moon defeated Liv Morgan.

After Smackdown Live, Finn Balor defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Firstly, EC3 was definitely signed back because of his work in Impact. I don't know where Dave's coming from on that point. As for WWE holding him back because of him making his name there, I don't think that's it. Basically they've got a lot of people fighting for a small number of spots (a number that got smaller with the Wild Card Rule) and he hasn't convinced the right people he should be featured more heavily than he is.

2. I would think a producer would be in charge of their own match in most cases. Creative is hypothetically there to keep someone in check if they set up a match to put themselves over. Of course, sometimes active wrestlers are also big parts of Creative, and we see how that can turn out.

3. I'd think WWE is covered the same as if title changes happen in the ring as far as "assault" or whatnot. I also think they get permission from the locations in question for things like the golf course fight so the people there know a certain hole's going to be unavailable for a little while. As for wanting the title, between not being on the card at all and being in a title match, I think the choice is clear!

4. The goal is for NXT to offer similar salaries to Raw and Smackdown Live for that top tier of stars. Obviously if talents don't manage their money well, no dollar amount will be enough, but most talents on a full-time Raw or Smackdown Live deal can make things work.

5.a. They're definitely intending to have production levels in the league of WWE. I think that might be Warner/TNT's department going forward rather than something AEW is in charge of.

5.b. Right now it means the talents who jumped to an unknown company and signed full-time, multi-year deals are being prioritized over the talents who are coming in per-date. I expect The Elite and friends to be a centerpiece of AEW, but if/when they get momentum going for them and other talents commit to the company, AEW will be more comfortable booking those names in the same league.

More wrestling tomorrow.
