State of the Art: Portland Reax

Read on for my thoughts on last night's HonorClub event.
- Bully/Tracy:
After Double or Nothing and Takeover:XXV rocked the wrestling world, here's Bully Ray scrambling to remain relevant.

OK this should be fun.

- Bully vs. Tracy:
Bully does seem to have his working boots on.

This is a nice change of pace from high spots and mat work.

That wasn't bad.

- Post-match:
Not a shock at all Bully had to get his heat back after a loss.

- Danika vs. Mazzerati:
Bleeeehhhhhhh. WOH is struggling right now.

- Post-match:
Not a shock this was the point of having two randos in a match.

- M. Briscoe vs. Woods:
The Briscoes continue to carry ROH.

I like the intensity here.

OUCH that German.

Pretty cool.

- Cobb vs. Black:
This is nice. Cobb is a prospect.

Black has grown a lot since the Justin Gabriel days.

That was really good!

- Haskins announcement:
Oh joy. The angle continues.

- Tag gauntlet:
-- Taylor/Young vs. Voroses:
Literally who?

I mean I'm fine with Taylor and Young killing some nobodies.

Ahhhhh good times.

-- Taylor/Young vs. Rush/Castle:
I like this dynamic.

OK this is really fun.

Cool stuff.

-- Rush/Castle vs. C2C:
Yeah C2C's going down.

Rush and Castle is a really entertaining duo.

HAHAHAHAHAAH nice ending.

-- C2C vs. Bouncers:
Honestly they've got their work cut out for them making this as interesting with Rush and Castle out.

-- Bouncers vs. TK/Vinny:
There's good teamwork in this.

Not bad.

- Lethal vs. J. Briscoe:
This is about as prototypical as ROH match gets.

Great job Lethal making the match less interesting by keeping chairs out of it.

Both men are high-level performers.

I like this. Both men look like prominent stars with a chance to win.

ROH kind of overthought this one, but I don't think this would have been out of place at DON or Takeover.

- Defy or Deny:
-- Taven vs. PCO vs. Flip vs. Haskins:
But I thought Haskins couldn't compete??? I guess we're in for more Bully Ray.

Wow it's like Cody's champion again.

I mean I kind of like Taven's chicanery here, but he doesn't feel like a world champion after that previous match.

I'm enjoying the story of everyong teaming up on Taven.

PCO is delivering as always.

This is really heating up!

OH MY GOD that chokeslam/Tombstone spot.

Kind of an underwhelming elimination but it protected PCO in defeat.

-- Taven vs. Flip vs. Haskins:
Jesus so many suicide dives these days.

So what was the point of the earlier Bully angle if it was more or less ignored here?

-- Taven vs. Flip:
Flip's going places. I like it.

This is pretty nice.

Good work!

More wrestling coming up.
