Read on for my thoughts on last night's Friday Night Smackdown.
- Mojo/Gronk/Corbin/Elias:
Gronk's dance was hilarious.
Cool acknowledgment of FCW by Gronk.
I liked Gronkowski establishing his credibility as a wrestling fan to combat the notion he's just another celebrity cashing in.
Surprised they're starting Gronk in a feud with Corbin. That seems a little high on the card. Though if he only has a few matches, that works.
Ahhhh good tie-in with both men's NFL careers.
Oh no. Elias is involved, too.
Not crazy about that, honestly.
- Bryan/Gulak vs. Cesaro/Shinsuke:
This is someone's dream match, I'm sure. Someone else is making a crack about them being used to empty arenas.
It is good to see some straightforward wrestling.
Very smooth!
Pretty good. I liked that it didn't have the stereotypical ending.
- Post-match:
Ooooooh Bryan vs. Sami for the title could be good.
That match works for me!
- Paige/Bayley/Sasha:
Um OK. I guess Paige is GM again for the night.
OK the Tamina line was funny.
Yeah Paige comes across like a power-hungry heel here.
- Alexa/Cross:
Glad to see WWE remember the tag champs can be on any show.
- Miz/JoMo:
OK this is a great use of the empty arena.
Funny stuff from the champs.
- Miz/JoMo vs. HM:
I like how these two sides play off each other.
This is pretty fun.
Good power from HM.
This is a great place on the card for Dolph.
This is pretty solid.
Wow. Otis has snapped.
- Post-match:
Dang. Poor Miz and JoMo.
- Contract signing:
Testosterone heavy segment here.
Not bad at all as far as two angry alphas ready for a battle.
