Positive things about Matt Hardy, OMEGA Reunion?, new WWE TV deal, Tough Enough and Nash updates, Justin Bieber at WM27?, WWE video game canceled

We start today's news with some questions, not surprisingly. Someone wants five positive things about Matt Hardy. Kind of an odd question, but I'll give it a go:
1. He's presumably made a lot of money over the years for WWE.
2. He worked for pretty much 12 years straight, barring injury and the brief period of time where he was released.
3. He successfully went from being a flashy tag team guy to a solid singles mat wrestler.
4. He was able to use fan demand to return to WWE soon after his release. Few have been able to do that.
5. He's stayed relevant for over a decade. That's also no easy task sometimes.

Then someone asks if there will be an "OMEGA reunion" of Shannon Moore and the Hardys in TNA. I wouldn't rule it out. If Shane/Gregory Helms comes in, it seems pretty likely they'd play off that history at some point.

The other questions are specific to PWInsider.com, so after the break I'll go right into news.

WWE has signed a new 5-year deal to keep its TV shows running in Japan. They will now have Raw, Smackdown, NXT and (for the first time) Superstars will be added to the line-up. More TV exposure is always good.

Raw did a 3.5 rating on Monday night, the highest it's done in a while. Post-PPV buzz factors into that some. Now, will those people stick around in the weeks and months to come? How business does in WrestleMania season will be interesting and important.

Tough Enough will begin shooting in Los Angeles in a week or two.

Justin Bieber is apparently close to a deal with WWE for performing at WrestleMania. I'm definitely not crazy about his music, but I certainly think the kids in attendance and at home will appreciate him singing there. I hope it's worth the backlash from non-PG WWE fans.

THQ has dropped development of an online-based WWE game it had been working on for years, mostly for Asian markets. It will continue to produce its other WWE games.

Kevin Nash is working an indy show this weekend. It had been scheduled prior to his appearance at the Rumble. There is no update on his status with WWE.

That's all for today's news. Come back tomorrow for more.
