Questions on OVW-TNA, Lacey Von Erich, Looking at monitors during matches, more Hall of Fame inductees, and ratings, Interview with Shawn Michaels and Jonathan Coachman, new TNA signing, HHH update, PPV dark match

Here's the news for this PPV Sunday:

PWInsider.com has some new questions up. Here are my responses to their... umm... responses:

No, OVW doesn't have any kind of relationship with TNA now that they're not a WWE territory. There are no plans for any working agreement at this time.

And no, Lacey Von Erich isn't in ROH. Not sure where that came from. There's another wrestler who just went by "Lacey" who used to wrestle in ROH, though.

Next up, why do the announcers watch the montiors during matches?

I've seen them do this plenty of times over the years. They call what the audience sees. It looks kind of silly, but it's understandable. It'd be bad if they called something going on in the ring when the camera was backstage or on someone at ringside and they ignored that. Not to mention calling things that they wouldn't be able to see otherwise (like attacks on the other side of the ring or people in the crowd).

No comment on whether Haku and The Barbarian should go into the WWE Hall of Fame. I'll leave that to someone more familiar with their careers.

Finally, yes when Dutch Mantel booked in Puerto Rico, the ratings were gigantic. I don't think he (or any booker) could get that high these days, but it should be noted that TNA's ratings were slightly higher when he was helping book the show, and this was before the Hogan-Bischoff regime brought in talents like Flair, Hardy, RVD, and Anderson, and before they made the changes they made to the product. Dutch is definitely someone I'd bring in to improve TNA's business.

Shawn Michaels has an interview up that mainly discusses the outdoors and his religion, but mentions wrestling a few times as well. He was ready to leave last year, and isn't planning on wrestling again.

TNA's Gunner has signed a new deal with the company. I'm not sure what kind of agreement he had previously, but will now be a full-fledged member of the company. He dropped the NWA National Championship due to the signing.

Jonathan Coachman has an interview about the transition from WWE to ESPN. He talks about working with Vince McMahon and the skits he took part in among other things. Pretty good read. I thought Coach was pretty good in the skits he took part in over the years. Not everyone would be willing to go through those kinds of things.

Triple H is ready to return to WWE, and could do so as soon as tomorrow's Raw.

The dark match for Elimination Chamber was Daniel Bryan defeating Ted DiBiase.

That's all of tonight's news. More tomorrow.
