TNA Against All Odds thoughts

Read on for my thoughts on TNA's latest Pay-Per-View, headlined by Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy in a ladder match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Interesting way to get over the changed X-Division match. It helped the characters of both Robbie E and Kazarian. I probably would have had a rematch with Chris Sabin and Suicide to determine the #1 Contender so as to not "rush into" this match, but I can definitely see why they went this route. Where do these two go from here?

You'd think they'd have referenced Kato BEFORE the Green Hornet had been out a few weeks. I think most people have moved on from that movie.

It's REALLY time to pull the trigger on Jackson James as a heel referee. At least have the suggestion by the commentators to move the story forward. I hope Pope just "tapped to save himself for a rematch" or something. Joe shaking Pope's hand and being blindsided was kind of dumb. If anything he should have tried that trick on Dinero (since he's the ruthless violent guy who doesn't really trust anyone).

The Last Knockout Standing match seemed a bit rushed. And Madison still being champion is kind of bugging me. Unless she moves on to a new challenger for a bit, I think this feud's really going to burn out, and that's never good. If you give it a break before you run through it too many times, you can go back to it down the line. If you just keep going until we're tired of seeing it, it takes a lot longer of a break for us to be interested in it again.

Bad re-start to Hernandez vs. Morgan. Why not just have him be bought off by Immortal, making a deal with them so he can get back to being in TNA and move up the card and them wanting him to take his revenge on Morgan as the first step? They could have even done a similar angle as they did but without the racism part.

RVD vs. Hardy was pretty solid.

Hell of an angle with Devon and Ray. I'm very glad that they didn't go with the swerve here of them working with Ray the whole time like the D'Angelo Dinero situation months back.

Angle and Jarrett know how to put on a show. This was a great match. They're doing mostly well tonight. Or at least, better than some of their PPVs.

Pretty good match to finish the show. I'm pretty surprised that Jeff Hardy is champion again. Some of it's the court case and some of it's because Anderson hasn't been champion long. I wonder if this means we're finally getting RVD vs. Jeff?

All in all, a pretty darn good show. I'm impressed. I hope TNA can grow from here.
