Queries on Gangrel and Shane McMahon, Interviews with Aries/Hart/Ziggler/Hennig/Rhodes/Henry/Vince, Questions on no-compete clauses, Knockouts, and MITB, and Aces and Eights speculation

First up, some queries:
1. When played backwards, Gangrel's theme song supposedly says "I buried Paul" in reference to an old Beatles urban legend. Funny stuff.

2. I'd like to think we'll see Shane McMahon make some kind of cameo some day, but I don't think he'll come back as a regular part of the company any time soon. Times could change, though.

Austin Aries talked to Newsday. He's right about using older names in the right way elevating newer stars.

Bret Hart talked on a number of WWE topics.

Dolph Ziggler spoke on a variety of topics going into Raw 1000. This guy's going places. He has pretty much everything you need to succeed in WWE if he can get fans to really hate him.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

1. I think the questioner meant either Maxine or Kharma. Either way, a no-compete clause applies when someone is released prematurely from contract. If a contract just expires, someone's free immediately.

2. Having Knockouts judge one of their own is an interesting idea, but Taz, Snow, and Pritchard all have backgrounds with scouting talent through WWE and I think that trumps the gender role.

3. I wouldn't call it boring but it's not something I look forward to seeing every week. The Knockouts don't make or break a show for me. I wonder if their absence has changed ratings, though.

Nothing to add to 4, since this was addressed recently.

5. I like the direction they're going instead IF Punk gets a big win over Cena. I wouldn't have minded more Punk/Bryan though (even though it doesn't need the MITB briefcase involved).

Wes Brisco has been confirmed as a member of TNA's Aces and Eights, along with the previously reported Luke Gallows. Other speculated members (or assistants) are Jay Bradley (Ryan Braddock), Cliff Compton (Domino), Chris Masters, Jeff Jarrett, and D'Lo Brown. Sounds like a nice little line-up with some interesting storyline implications.

Update: Word is now that Cliff Compton might not be signed to TNA or a part of Aces and Eights. I hope that changes given the buzz he's received.

Update: Mike Knox is another confirmed member. TNA is using a number of workers for one-shot gigs to throw red herrings as to who really is in the group. D'Lo Brown is likely one such red herring, but Jeff Jarrett is likely the leader. Sounds like good TV if they play it right with some talented people.

Larry "The Ax" Hennig talked about his grandson, known in WWE as Michael McGillicutty.

Cody Rhodes talked ahead of a live event.

Mark Henry talked about WWE and the Olympics, two things he really knows about.

Finally, Vince McMahon gave his business philosophy.

More news tomorrow!
