Questions on WWE dropping the ball, Edge acting, heel Punk, Raw's 20th anniversary, and Punk vs. Austin, Taker appearance, Sheik talks Olympics, more cameos to face Slater?, Kelly update, accident at Raw, Smackdown rating, and an update on Laurinaitis

For my take on PWInsider.com's Monday questions:
1. There are talents who are "over" who aren't being used for whatever reason (Ryder for instance). It's not entirely Creative/Management's fault (C.M. Punk has said that you don't "have" to follow the script and he ignores suggestions at times), but they don't get off without blame either since they ultimately decide who's on TV and live events, etc..

2.  I would think that WWE would have something where they own the rights to a character's name for acting as well (since they do their own movies), but that might only apply while someone's under contract. We'll see how things go if he continues to act post-WWE.

3. I'd love to see Punk retain over Rock to establish him as a true top guy, but I'd be surprised if they put him over Rock since Cena couldn't beat him.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

4. They just got done with Raw 1000! But yeah, I expect something big then, too.

5. It will really depend on how hot Punk is in the months to come. I'm sure WWE would love to get one more match out of Austin, but it's not a guarantee at this point.

The Undertaker will make a special appearance at an FCW event for a VIP signing. Cool.

In the "what the heck am I reading" category, Iron Sheik talked about the Olympics.

There could be more cameos in the weeks to come to face Heath Slater. Tatanka, Steve Blackman, and Big Daddy V were all contacted but ultimately not brought in. They've got to be careful in how they use older names.

Kelly Kelly was at Raw 1000 but not used. WWE is still trying to sign her to another long-term deal.

There was a pyrotechnics accident before Raw. No one was hurt.

The latest Smackdown pulled in over 2.8 million viewers, and was the highest-rated original series on cable on Friday.

John Laurinaitis is no longer Senior Vice President of Talent Relations. He will stay with WWE as a producer. Sources cite burnout and Triple H reshaping things in the company.

More news tomorrow!
