Superstars and Impact Wrestling Reax - 7/12/12

Read on for my segment-by-segment thoughts on Superstars and Impact Wrestling.
Superstars:
Gabriel and Hunico put on a clinic as expected. Gabriel should be in a regular team with Tyson Kidd and if Camacho becomes solid enough, Hunico would be a very talented partner.

Good little Divas match. That's the best Alicia's looked in quite a while.

Mahal vs. Riley was pretty solid. I miss both guys on TV. 3-hour Raws should add character development to the midcard so it's not just a bunch of people facing off with little backstory.

Impact Wrestling:
Bully Ray vs. Joseph Park was a good old hardcore match. The Twitter stuff was beyond stupid, but other than that both men did their best.

I liked the post-match with Park emulating his "brother".

It was a little surprising for Sting to just show up again. No advanced promotion?

I liked the story and action for RVD and Joe. RVD getting the win's ok for once due to the booking that Joe basically cost himself the victory.

This Claire angle's still going? There can't be a God.

Absolutely terrible continuation of the Claire angle. This should be OVER. Daniels is a good promo, but everyone else was mediocre at best. There's a reason WWE wouldn't give any of these guys this much TV time.

Everyone who says TNA is so great now must be missing the Claire angle. Styles just adds to the agony with his segment.

Darsow's promo was good. I like his look as well.

Ion vs. Darsow was good as far as X-Division matches go. I wouldn't mind Darsow being around full-time.

Good post-match from the X-Divisioners.

Good promo from Aries. He looks like a  main eventer.

I liked Roode's counter to Aries. They play off of each other well.

Fine backstage segment.

TNA is more concerned with being a documentary about wrestling than a good wrestling product.

Gail vs. Brooke was fine enough, commentary aside. The non-wrestling commentator should never be more important than the title match.

Pretty good match between Anderson and Angle. Angle's a machine.

Fine backstage segment with Roode and Hogan, though I hope they don't give away Aries vs. Roode on TV after expecting fans to pay for it.

I liked the ending to continue the assault angle. I'm just not insanely interested in something involving Hogan and Sting.

I'll be back for Smackdown tomorrow. A news post will be up later tonight.
