Superstars and Impact Wrestling Reax- 8/22/12

Read on for my segment-by-segment thoughts on the 8/22 Superstars and Impact Wrestling.

Superstars:
Fine opening contest. With enough seasoning, Sandow could have a future.

McIntyre vs. Riley was fine as well. Give these two something to do on TV. WWE complains that there aren't any new stars coming through the ranks when they have talented performers stuck on the B shows.

Solid main event! Two more guys with futures if used right. They're not going to go but so far without management support.

Impact:
Fine enough opening segment.

Good Knockouts match with a nice story. I hope this is leading to something more, because otherwise the young lion they should be building looks inferior to the 41-year-old. I think Tara's still got it, but Tessmacher should be the focus for the future.

Unexpected win for Robbie. At least the already "made" RVD didn't beat one of the faces of the company.

Not sure what Hardy beating Robbie T accomplished: it did more to solidify T as less than a threat than it did to build Hardy.

Is the Lynch storyline finally over? Maybe there is a God after all.

Sting and Hogan are getting the better of someone in 2012. And people wonder why wrestling won't move forward. Why not have some of TNA's young lions make the save?

Lewie vs. Gunner wasn't bad. Lewie's a little rough around the edges but looks like he might have potential.

ODB and Eric Young should just be fired already. The act is beyond stale.

Anderson vs. Bully Ray was fine.

Crazy ending to the show! How many Aces and Eights are there?

I'll be back for Smackdown after some more news.
