Identity of Ryback victim, Cena appearing on live events, NXT star on live events, Wrestling obituaries, ROH stars staying put, NXT talent leaves, OVW talent on live events and Questions on Sunny and JR

Nick Nardone, who lost to Ryback on Smackdown, is the current OVW Heavyweight Champion. It will be interesting to see if WWE tries to scoop him up for a more regular role. That doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

John Cena will make appearances on WWE's live events in Europe this November. I don't hate Cena like a lot of people seem to, but I definitely think the show's better in some regards with him gone.

Sami Zayn defeated Jack Swagger on this weekend's WWE live events. He's worked a number of live events lately, so they MIGHT be considering bringing him up soon. He's getting great reviews and has a lot of experience to his name, so I don't think I can protest too much that they might already be thinking of putting him on the main roster.

Speaking of NXT and live events, here are the results for a recent NXT show.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Old-school wrestler Angelo Savoldi passed away at the age of 99. Here's a biography. That's quite an interesting read!

Frenchy Bernard also passed. He was 77. Andre the Giant had a ranch in N.C.? I wonder what that was like...

Mike Bennett and the Briscoes are remaining with Ring Of Honor, ending speculation about them jumping to WWE or TNA. As always, they could end up somewhere else once they're further along in their careers.

Recently-signed NXT talent Christina Vargas asked for and received her release. She decided that she was more passionate about a potential cooking career than wrestling. It's better that she found out now than several years into a career.

OVW's Lei'D Tapa worked TNA live events this weekend, facing off with ODB. She could be a part of the main roster shortly.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Of note, the headline said "Tammy Sytch mugged." Not "Tammy Sytch said she was mugged." So, I think they have to take at least some of the blame here.

2. Is it cynical of me to think this could all just be a marketing ploy for her book? I'd definitely wonder about the veracity of her stories at this point.

3. That'd be some pretty serious kayfabing. I don't think there's anything to suggest that's what's happening.

Nothing to add to 4 or 5.
