What Happened After Raw, Angle update, WWE Hall of Famer writing book, new match for Night of Champions, Raw visitor, Raw audience, and Questions on heel Dixie, the HHH/Bryan angle and Hogan/Bischoff

After Raw, C.M. Punk defeated Curtis Axel in a no-DQ match before high-fiving the crowd. Nice change of pace from CENAWINSLOL.

Kurt Angle has been released from rehab. Glad to hear it. I hope this is a sign of good things to come from his personal life. He has a new beginning now.

Here's the synopsis for the upcoming Bob Backlund autobiography. Should be good. He's something.

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns will be defending the WWE Tag Tam Championship against challengers determined on the Night of Champions pre-show. That show will feature a tag team turmoil match with PTP, Tons of Funk, The Usos, 3MB, and the Real Americans. I wonder if they initially planned to have Show and Henry challenge for the Titles and this is a backup? It certainly seemed like they could be taking that direction.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Beth Phoenix was backstage visiting at Raw. She's Edge's girlfriend. I can't be the only one who wants to see her mix it up with AJ and Kaitlyn again. Presumably now they wouldn't be fodder.

A number of WWE talents had luggage issues on their way to Toronto. It happens.

Raw's audience this week was 3.89 million going up against a MASSIVE NFL game (doing upwards of 16.5 million viewers). They could definitely have done much worse.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. The last thing TNA needs is another non-wrestler taking screen time away from their talented roster members. I don't even know if Dixie would want to be a heel on TV; it doesn't seem like she wants to be on TV much period. She's an executive first and a wrestling personality second.

2. I definitely think that the good guys need to be elevated once the feud is over. First, though, they have to get their asses kicked so that it means something when they finally come back and ruin the plans of the evil COO. This is the same logic people say is missing from Cena's angles. As for Punk, he's currently embroiled in a blood feud with Heyman and his crew. I'm sure he'll get involved in the main feud once he's able to separate himself from his former confidant.

3. I don't think it's 100% Vince's fault if the angle fails, nor do I think it's 100% to Bryan's credit if it succeeds. There are a lot of moving parts to this or any angle, and they should all be considered when considering an angle (or character)'s success or lack thereof.

4. Obviously they feel it's worth the risk. They've been very trusting of Orton at times. Let's hope it pays off this time.

5. It's not their company. They're just employees. Obviously it'd be great if they put some of their own capital at stake (especially if they're so sure about some of their ideas). If anything, though, wouldn't them putting money into the company give them a reason to demand more control? Be careful what you wish for.

More wrestling tomorrow.
