Main Event Reax - 8/10/16 and ROH Reax - 8/11/16

Read on for my thoughts on this week's Main Event and ROH.

Main Event:
- Cara vs. Jinder:
I kind of missed Jinder. Mainly because 3MB was hilarious.

It will be really interesting to see if WWE signs names like Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado since they already have Sin Cara for the Cruiserweight division.

Mahal certainly still has it.

Damn. Sin Cara flying around all over the place.

So much for Jinder's win streak.

- Breezango vs. Hype Bros:
It looks like this show at least can feature matches from either brand.

This is mostly good so far.

Fine wrestling at this point. It's important to have good soldiers for the low/midcard.

Mojo is fired up 24/7.

Rawley definitely has a very basic moveset, but he makes the most of it.

Nice teamwork from both sides in breaking up big moves and covers.

SIIIIIIIIICCK finisher, broski.

ROH:
Good followup to last week's ending. I'm really appreciating the weekly shows having an episodic narrative.

And then we go to something ROH doesn't do well. Randomly throwing together two generic wrestlers to do an unmemorable match.

- Ferrara vs. White:
Good wrestling to start. Some flavors of vanilla are more interesting than others.

I think I'd rather see a generic wrestling match than one that turns to flips and dives in a cheap attempt to make the match more meaningful.

Both men are working hard, but I would have liked this better if they were matched up with someone more interesting.

Fine action overall.

- Fish Tank segment:
I got tired of the Briscoes' gimmick some time ago. It feels kind of overstated.

Bobby Fish is really generic, too.

This is just BAD. Not everyone should get a talk show segment...

There's a big difference between "I'm a better wrestler than you are" and "you're not important and you'd bring the title's prestige down." At least Mark didn't return the favor by saying Fish isn't at O'Reilly's level.

At least the segment ended well. Fish showed some personality there.

- Lethal vs. Cabana:
This match should be treated as more important than it is. They could have done a promo earlier in the show to sell Lethal's reaction to last week and settling the score and all that.

I'm really liking the feeling out process, establishing who each performer is.

This is much better than most of Lethal's title defenses. Cabana's great for being able to work a mat wrestling style and still tell a good story in ROH.

And then we see the lame multiple suicide dive spot. Good workers shouldn't need to rely on so many flashy moves. It's the wrestling equivalent of a movie with explosions instead of plot.

I hope Cabana still has good things ahead of him. He's quite talented.

I'm liking the back and forth in the ring.

Please don't turn this into 50 finisher kickouts.

Cabana's a smart worker.

I'm glad that ended before it got TOO spot heavy. Lethal's only top guy worthy at the ROH stage.

- DBD14 main event setup:
Lethal's slightly more interesting as a face with something to prove.

I like Cole sticking it to both Lethal and Nigel. He's definitely worthy of being a top heel.

Oh, man. That was going well until "little bitch" and Lethal talking about being such a super-good wrestler you guys.

Well, that didn't take a bunch of convincing. The setup was pretty good overall.
