Main Event Reax - 8/24/16 and ROH Reax - 8/26/16

Read on for my thoughts on this week's Main Event and ROH.

Main Event:
- Rhyno vs. Rowan:
HOSS BATTLE.

It's weird to see Rhyno work as the smaller guy.

I'm enjoying this battle.

That wasn't bad at all. Both men are mobile enough to make the match not painful to watch.

- H. Bros vs. Vaudevillains:
The Vaudevillains are definitely not hype. I want to see these teams do promos before their matches. Gotch and English in particular could be more fun if we got more from them on the mic.

Mojo cracks me up. He's a livewire.

Nice teamwork from the Hype Bros.

I like the tactics from the heel team, too.

This is heating up pretty well!

Nice ending. Good match overall.

ROH:
- Gresham vs. Page:
It's worth repeating how awesome Page vs. Briscoe was this weekend. Page went to a new level with his brutal beatdown of the former champion.

TNA used Gresham as Suicide on a One Night Only show airing Friday. It will be interesting to see if they offer him a regular role, since they own that gimmick.

Another Flippy McIndie Guy. Doesn't wrestling have enough of those?

It's not looking good for Page to have trouble with Gresham after his big DBD 14 win. I realize this was taped before that show, but the continuity still exists.

That was disappointing. I hope the Hangman rebounds from an unimpressive indie-style match.

- Stuka Jr. vs. Kamaitachi:
We CMLL now. They could run with Silas Young or The Cabinet doing a ROH first gimmick against the guests from under companies. Of course, they'd actually have to be booked to win some matches in the feud for that to have any heat to it.

Oh Jesus Christ another guy doing flips and dives. Thank you Christopher Daniels for breaking it up.

Daniels working with Kamaitachi is making this match more meaningful.

Good heel work from Kamaitachi.

Stuka's talented, but that style is so played out in 2016.

There's a fun story being told of Stuka trying to overcome his crooked adversaries.

Kamaitachi owning Stuka by taking the mask off. He's growing on me as a heel.

-  J. White vs. J. Briscoe:
It didn't take ROH long to get to another Jay vs. Jay match. They should just keep running with the theme and see how many Jays they can get.

Bleh. Same old stuff as always. I've clearly hit my saturation point of wrestlers. You have to be really good to stand out with so much wrestling in a week. It's tough to get excited for White.

Briscoe's putting on a pretty good showing here.

White's the other kind of stereotypical indie wrestler - the MMA/strong style wannabe.

White does have some good fire. I'm impressed.

WOW. I didn't expect a time limit draw. That was a nice surprise, and a good way to put White over in defeat.

More wrestling coming up.
