WWE live event notes, legendary manager passes, and Questions on wrestlers sharing locker rooms, being paid while injured, Takeover vs. Summerslam, Nikki as a top women's wrestler, and pushing Owens

Notes from WWE's live event in Mexico this weekend:
- Jey Uso beat Curtis Axel. Jimmy stayed in Jey's corner, so he still might not be 100%.

- Bayley is already on live events, replacing Sasha Banks. She beat Charlotte in a non-title match.

As for WWE's live event in Texas this weekend:
- Bob Backlund accompanied Darren Young in Young's triple threat with Titus and Miz (with Maryse). Miz won.

- Sin Cara teamed with Jack Swagger and Golden Truth to beat The Ascension and The Shining Stars. So, the Cara/Swagger team continues in the undercard.

WWE Hall of Famer Mr. Fuji passed away at the age of 82. A legendary heel manager who brought us one of the most memorable segments ever. I hope he and Yokozuna are reunited in that great arena in the sky.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I also wish they went back to the "babyfaces and heels have two different locker rooms" thing. It could be argued those names aren't in a heated enough feud to where they wouldn't share a locker room if they absolutely had to. More likely is they just didn't care enough about the segment to worry about faces and heels being together because "it's all a sports-entertainment variety show anyway!"

2. Finn will also be paid from merchandise and I assume royalties. He'll be fine financially while he recovers. Thank goodness.

3. NXT had the advantage of not having to fill nearly six hours and get almost everyone on the card, etc. The two shows had different audiences and were presented with that in mind.

4. I think Nikki's really improved to the point where I enjoy watching her as a player (but not really THE player) in the women's division. I agree she's in her position for more reasons than wrestling skills, and she pretty much admits that. However, with only so many names on the women's roster, her experience makes her reliable enough to feature prominently in one of the divisions.

5. I'm definitely glad Balor got the big push. He's definitely really talented, and his promos can be covered up to a degree with the Demon King persona. I think Owens can definitely be a major player soon. If he wins tonight, they definitely need something for Rollins to do. I wouldn't mind Owens as champion by the end of the year if they have something suitable for Seth to do while Owens is the top heel. They could certainly turn Rollins face and have them feud. I don't see why those two wouldn't be able to deliver against each other at a top level.

More wrestling tomorrow.
