Post-Raw and Smackdown dark matches, Dusty and Jade profiled, Snuka charges to be dropped?, new Network show, new title coming, Nese update, Raw audience, WWE-ESPN update, another carrier picks up LU network, WWE bringing back old event?, match announced for next Smackdown, superstar pulled from international tour, returning name backstage at Smackdown, Rhyno political update, Wyatt update, and Questions on the selective brand split, introducing fans to Taker, the top free agent in WWE, bringing back HHH, and improving WWE's commentary

After Raw, Dean Ambrose, John Cena, and Roman Reigns beat AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens. WWE names will be able to work dark matches for "the other show" until Monday and Tuesday live events become a thing.

Jim Ross put over Dusty Rhodes following The American Dream's induction into the Mid-Atlantic Legends Fanfest Hall of Heroes. Magnum TA and Cody Rhodes also spoke about the legend in the piece.

Jade was profiled by the Huffington Post in relation to her past of domestic violence. Obviously that's really heavy stuff, but it got TNA "Total Impact" some visibility and hopefully raises awareness for an important cause.

Prosecutors in the Jimmy Snuka case have requested their charges against the Hall of Famer be dropped given the ruling on his mental competence. However, the judge refused to grant the request and stated the case will be revisited in December. So, this has to drag on another four months even though both sides agree to drop the case due to Snuka's mental state? Ridiculous and a huge waste of time and money.

WWE debuted a Smackdown post-show on the Network last night. They're making a LOT of content on the Network with all the pre- and post-shows.

Smackdown will have a women's championship at some point, and a tag team championship is expected to follow in the future. Both divisions are a little bare now, but will hopefully improve in the months to come.

Tony Nese has officially signed with WWNLive/EVOLVE, which theoretically puts him in the WWE family. He was great in the first round of the CWC; I absolutely think he's someone to pick up for NXT and/or the Cruiserweight division.

Raw's audience Monday was 3.31 million, a respectable number in line with last week.

With Smackdown moving to Tuesdays, the ESPN segment focusing on WWE has moved to Wednesdays. That makes sense, although Thursday might be even better since they wouldn't be competing with NXT or the CWC.

El Rey Network is now available on Verizon Fios, so users of that service will be able to watch Lucha Underground once Season 3 begins.

WWE have applied to trademark "King of the Ring," so it looks like that event could be returning at some point. That'd be a good idea for a Network special between Raw and Smackdown names.

Rhyno vs. Heath Slater is set for next week's Smackdown. If Slater wins, he gets a contract for the Smackdown roster. I almost want to see him try to reform part of The Corre or Nexus to continue the angle of being left by the Outcasts and (2)MB. He's a lot of fun at times.

Paige has been pulled from next week's shows in Australia and New Zealand. I hope that's not a sign of anything worrying.

Curt Hawkins was backstage at Smackdown. He's expected to debut on the brand soon. I actually kind of want to see him team with Heath Slater.

Rhyno won his party's nomination to be on the ballot for state representative in Michigan. So, voters there have the option of putting him in office in November. It will be interesting to see how this effects his future as a WWE superstar. Presumably it only becomes a scheduling conflict he actually gets in office, so I would assume he's pretty much OK juggling politics and wrestling right now. While I don't want a mockery to be made of the political process, part of me really wants to see him campaign as Rhyno the wrestler.

Before Smackdown, Kane beat John Skyler in quick fashion. I'm curious to see how Kane's used going forward.

Bray Wyatt refused medical assistance after his match with Dolph Ziggler. Hopefully he's not too hurt.

After Smackdown, John Cena and Roman Reigns beat Seth Rollins and AJ Styles.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Until we see Monday live events for Smackdown names and Tuesday live events for Raw names, I don't see a problem with it. They can easily say the dark matches and such were booked before the brand split took place, and they're honoring their agreements with the arenas and all that.

2. It's the parents' fault, really. This generation, man. I tell you. That kid would be sent right to his room to watch a whole bunch of Undertaker footage.

3. Vince (or whomever made the pitch) sees him as someone worth investing time in as a regular character on both brands. That's a success in my book. The fact is a good portion of the roster has to be stuck on Main Event/Superstars or jobbing on TV to other names. It's inevitable someone will be in that position for a regular basis, like some baseball teams always have low win percentages and never make the playoffs. That's pretty much the nature of the beast. I'd rather Slater be employed as a comedy guy than struggle to make money on the indies.

4. I see him coming back as a trump card in the Stephanie/Shane feud, possibly leading a Survivor Series team for Raw against Shane and four other wrestlers. That could actually be pretty cool. I definitely think less is more as far as his character is concerned. It should be a case of an angle needing him rather than him needing an angle.

5. OH MY! VINTAGE COLE. Apparently Vince loosened the reins on him for the New Era. I hope that becomes more of a rule. The commentary changes in 2016 have been pleasantly surprising, with new faces in the mix and fresh combinations.

More wrestling tomorrow.
