GFW going up north, Cesaro/Sheamus Match 4 result, Raw audience, Interview with Owens, more ROH matches, TJP done with EVOLVE, another Regal seminar, Hawkins return set, another place to get WWE Network gift cards, ROH-UK update, new WWEPC coach, more on Hall's incident, Shelton surgery a success, and Questions on Jinder returning to lose matches, Show's WWF debut, Nikki returning as a face, Roman holding the title again, and how to save Ziggler

GFW will hold co-branded shows in Canada on October 1 (with Max Pro Wrestling) and October 2 (with Destiny World Wrestling). Siding with other promotions instead of competing with them is a good move for 2016. Pooling talent and resources to make money benefits everyone.

Cesaro beat Sheamus in London to continue the Best of Seven series. I assume it will conclude at Clash of Champions with a Cesaro win. Bleehhhhhhh....

Raw's audience this week was 3.07 million for a Labor Day show going against a big college football game. I imagine some people tuned in to see Triple H and turned the channel when he wasn't on the show. I wonder what the effect of his return was on this week's rating.

Kevin Owens discussed becoming Universal Champion and more:
- I'm very glad all those sacrifices paid off. It's great to see Owens again.

- But Owens did change things. He doesn't have the freedom to disregard authority like he did in ROH. He also had to work out regularly in the performance center, and doesn't curse anymore.

- I assume we'll get Owens vs. Y2J before Jericho goes back to doing music.

- It's great to see things shaken up with the brand extension. I wish they would have also split Owens and Zayn given how often they've faced off now.

More ROH matches have been announced:
- For September 16 in Pennsylvania:
-- Christopher Daniels vs. Jay White
-- Kamaitachi vs. Alex Shelley
-- Frankie Kazarian vs. Chris Sabin
-- Will Ferrara vs. ACH

- For September 17 in New York:
-- Deonna Purrazzo/Mandy Leon vs. Taeler Hendrix/Jessicka Havok

TJ Perkins has officially finished with EVOLVE en route to joining Raw's cruiserweight division. More cruiserweights will be finishing their non-WWE dates soon.

William Regal will be part of an EVOLVE tryout/seminar on October 16. He's a great mind to have on-board.

Curt Hawkins will officially return on the next episode of Smackdown. I'm interested to see what they do with the former Major Brother. I would assume he would have something to say about Ryder having a new partner.

WWE Network gift cards are now available in 7-Eleven stores. This continues their relationship after the WWE Slurpee cups years back.

ROH has had something of a falling out with UK's Preston City Wrestling after the two sides had previously had a working agreement. With ROH running a tour of the UK at the same time without PCW's involvement, on one same night PCW is holding a show in the same city, they're not working as partners going forward. ROH says the door is open for future agreements; that will depend on what things are like the next time ROH wants to come to the UK.

Scotty 2 Hotty has joined the WWE Performance Center as a full-time coach. He's had a few stints there this summer before officially becoming part of the team. Considering he got The Worm over as a finisher, I think he can pass on tips for successfully making it on the main roster. He's GOT to come out and dance with No Way Jose at some point.

Scott Hall and Diamond Dallas Page commented on Hall's incident this weekend. I hope Scott rebounds from his latest setback. Alcoholism is a tough demon to beat.

Shelton Benjamin gave an update on his WWE return. There's no official timetable for him coming back in the ring.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It either paid better than the bookings he had lined up, or he's hoping it leads to a bigger role down the line. The implication he should turn down a steady paycheck since they didn't offer him "a push" is ludicrous.

2. Considering how relatively green Show was, I'm not upset at him not getting a huge push right out of the gate. WWE had a lot of talented people at that time, and there were people better suited to being the top guy there.

3. Yes, WWE plugged her in as a heel at Summerslam because Eva Marie was suspended, then turned her face as soon as they got a chance. Maybe now Carmella will get to show she's not just "Enzo and Cass' manager."

4. That was based. I assume Roman will be champion again sooner rather than later. There are only so many main event level guys on Raw. With Finn out, that number's even smaller. Roman might not be "the guy" they want him to be, but he's good enough to be in that mix.

5. They more or less need to reboot Ziggler if he's going to be a top guy. Him getting a manager or something to guide him to being more than "that guy who yells and does a lot of big bumps" would be good. I'm thinking something like Jack Swagger got from Zeb Colter. It's not just about turning heel, especially if he does the exact same things in that role. He needs a new direction and a new attitude. Have him "lose his smile" and come back months later with a new look, new gear, and ideally something of a different style in the ring. He currently seems to care more about "stealing the show" than winning. That needs to change. If he's not committed to making changes in order to be a top guy, it confirms all the criticisms of him being more about style and look than substance.

More wrestling tomorrow.
