Impact Wrestling Reax - 9/15/16

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Impact Wrestling.

- Matt and Nero at the lake:
My fucking sides.

Victory Road '11 era Jeff is definitely not who Matt needs helping him out.

Good thing Matt didn't have to keep knocking him in through Willow and other incarnations.

- Lashley/JB/Grado/Moose segment:
Lashley has been one of the best characters in wrestling, and he doesn't need anything more than being a badass who destroys people.

Lashley's gloating about destroying EC3 is pretty great.

I would watch Lashley vs. JB.

I'm not so sure I want to see Lashley vs. Grado, other than Lashley tossing him around the ring and beating him mercilessly.

Grado must be high af to think he has a chance against the champ.

Moose vs. Lashley could be a lot of fun. That should be saved for November or so, though.

- Rex promo:
Aron being turned into generic "I love wrestling" babyface is a real shame.

- Lashley backstage:
Eh. I would have preferred if Lashley's reason for not beating Moose had to do with Moose already having a match at BFG. If Lashley destroyed Moose, Moose couldn't face Bennett on October 2.

- Rex vs. Lee:
I like Rex going right for the win.

Good back-and-forth so far. I'm surprisingly behind the rules of this division after seeing them in action.

Lee's someone to keep an eye out for in the years to come. He's got potential.

LOVING Lee coming back after losing the first round. There's actual logic in the matches beyond doing moves! It's great.

That was mostly good, but I hope we see more out of Rex in the ring. Making him just another wrestler does him no favors.

- Maria and JB:
Ehhhh. This has been better when they've not focused on Maria vs. Gail. Obviously Gail's pretty much a TNA icon, but showcasing her takes the focus off Allie, Sienna, and Jade.

- Matt finds Vanguard-1:
Vanguard's seen better days.

This is hysterical. V-1 helping Senor with the landscaping was GOLD.

- Marie/Allie/Gail/Dixie segment:
Allie > Gail.

OK, that video package was actually pretty funny. It's a cliche move, but still funny.

Maria's present was great.

Maria vs. Allie vs. Gail needs to happen.

Meh. I'm ready for Maria vs. Gail to wrap up now.

- Spud vs. Sutter:
TNA worked quickly to get all the fans out and expose the turnbuckles! Then they're going to bring them all back in when the show's over!

Damn. They're just beating the hell out of each other. And no one's there to see it!

I like the story of working on each other's teeth.

That was mostly good.

- Finding Senor Benjamin:
The Vanguard/Senor bromance is great.

- Moose promo:
Profanity is SO cheap.

- Hardys/Reby/Decay segment:
This is the craziest thing.

Maxel turning on Matt ending the feud needs to happen.

I was wondering when we'd hear about Bram ahain.

Matt's promos are pretty deep actually.

I hope this ends in one of the craziest gimmick matches ever at BFG. They might as well go all out with it.

Reby vs. Rosemary could be a mess, but a fun mess.

- Bennett/Lashley promo:
That's the right amount of Bennett on one show.

How about Lashley and Moose BOTH beat up Bennett?

- Knockouts gauntlet:
Oh.... so much for Allie competing.

I like some multi-person crazy brawls.

Everyone just beating up everyone else.

I love Marti and Jade fighting after being eliminated.

Raquel winning would have been sad.

HILARIOUS elimination of Vanness.

Sienna vs. Gail is usually pretty fun.

That was OK enough. Gail vs. Maria at BFG to setup Maria vs. Allie later is fine by me.

- Edwards vs. Shera:
Eddie just destroying Shera here.

The spot with Shera going for a backdrop was hilarious. I kind of want to see a wrestler whose gimmick is botching.

Good setup for Round 3.

That was mostly good. Eddie made the most of it.

- Moose/Lashley segment:
Changing the BFG main event with less than three weeks left probably isn't wise.

This is a damn WAR!

Pretty good action.

HOLY SHIT what a show of strength by Moose.

Damn you, Bennett! DAAAAAMMMMNNN YYYYOOOOUUUUU!

Wild ending. I like those, usually.

More wrestling coming up.
