Interviews with Owens' trainer/JR/former WWE seamstress/Jake Roberts/Raven/Bryan, Eva no longer All Red, WWE Network collection on HoFer, WWE exec leaving, Stamp's cancer returns, Cody blasts WWE's associations, WWE battling pediatric cancer, big anniversary for JCP, WWE Manila card updated, Styles back on commentary again, and Questions on NJPW in English, ECW music changes, more Holy Foley, more Legends Hose, and Velvet McIntyre

Kevin Owens' former trainer discussed his student's universal championship win:
- Owens is definitely a really high-level talent. Even Jim Cornette, who found him really full of himself and difficult to work with, considers him really talented.

- I'm a little surprised WWE took Hogan's advice in giving the latest Rougeau a chance. Hopefully it pays off.

Jim Ross discussed the ending to Summerslam and more:
- I'm sure there were safer ways to bust Orton open, but they wanted it to be as legitimate as possible in order to get people talking.

- WWE cares about getting social media buzz, etc. from their endings. They succeeded with the ending to Summerslam. Brock definitely looks like more of a heel now to people who were in his corner when he was facing Reigns.

- I can see JR's explanation for Brock/Y2J. Passions on both side were pretty high.

- He's dead on about McGregor pulling a great work on wrestlers and wrestling fans to get more attention for his fight. Genius stuff.

Former WWE seamstress Sandra Grey was profiled. She discussed her start in the business and more. I'd like to see her (along with former timekeeper Mark Yeaton) get the Warrior Award at the HoF for their work behind-the-scenes to make the show work.

Eva Marie has dyed her hair black. I'm assuming WWE approved that and/or it's some kind of "Total Divas" angle and/or she'll change it back before she's back on TV. They have a lot tied up in her red hair look. Changing that would mean action figures, video games, etc. are now outdated. Changing her look without WWE approval would be a terrible move for her career-wise.

Jake Roberts discussed his battles with addiction and more. I'm very, very glad he's turned his life around.

WWE Network will soon be adding a collection focusing on Eddie Guerrero. There's certainly some great material in the archives to use.

Raven did a shoot interview about his personal life outside the business. I'm sure that's quite the story. It's a shame he's gone through so much.

WWE executive Joel Satin, recently the vice president of business planning and financial analysis, is leaving the company in order to take a position at Kodak. He'd been with the company for at least 15 years. I wouldn't assume that will change much of anything internally in WWE. I definitely don't see it changing the wrestling side of things.

Dennis Stamp, a 70-year-old territory era star who beat cancer years back, has announced his cancer has return. That's unfortunate news. I wish him the best in defeating the disease once again.

Cody Rhodes went after WWE for keeping up relationships with TMZ and ESPN. I definitely see where he's coming from. That said, I see why WWE wants to reach fans outside of their current audience by being on other platforms.

Daniel Bryan spoke about the confrontation with The Miz on Talking Smack:
- Miz ate Bryan alive in that segment. I can't say I disagree given all the conspiracy theory bullshit of WWE trying to keep Bryan from wrestling again. If WWE really is pulling off some big work about his status as a competitor, just leave and prove them wrong. I love Bryan the competitor, but this whole notion of them intentionally keeping him under contract and paying him a lot of money to not wrestle anywhere else is hard to swallow. The muckrakers who keep pushing that in order to play to the anti-Vince/anti-WWE corporate crowd should really be ashamed of themselves. Either they're getting worked or they're outright lying to drive interest to their sites.

- Don't expect more of Miz vs. Bryan, since WWE's not going to clear him. Whether you believe that's because a doctor worked a fake test result because WWE doesn't like Bryan (which is fucking ludicrous) or if it's because he'd actually been having seizures, as he said on multiple occasions, they're not doing the match.

- I think Bryan wants to wrestle so badly he's really putting his own health at risk and working himself into believing the theories of WWE keeping him out of the ring for their own (unexplained) reasons. Bryan going to NJPW or somewhere would be a very risky endeavor, especially given his in-ring style. I'm sure he'd get a bunch of ****+ star matches from Meltzer, but at the cost of his long-term health.

WWE is putting its promotional efforts into pediatric cancer research. A lot of this is for publicity and getting good press, sadly, but it's great they're giving money to end something so deadly.

Minor League Baseball's Charlotte Knights will be honoring the 85th (!) anniversary of Jim Crockett Promotions. That's one heck of a milestone.

Notable advertisements for WWE's upcoming Raw-brand Philippines show:
- Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins vs. Sami Zayn for the WWE Universal Championship
- Smackdown's John Cena vs. Big Show (who hasn't been on the road lately as he gears up for the final big run of his career)
- Sheamus vs. Cesaro (this won't count as part of their series)
- Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks for the WWE Women's Championship (this could end up changed to Charlotte vs. Bayley)
- Neville vs. Bo Dallas (so presumably he's right back into things following his arrest)

Joey Styles is joining commentary for CHIKARA's King of Trios event. So much for that "never doing commentary again" thing. I assume he sticks to doing dates here and there for things that interest him. It's interesting to see him do prominent indies after being such an apologist for WWE while he worked there.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Chrome's website translator is your friend. Actually, even without that, there's a sign-up link in English at the top of the page.

2. Between having ECW content available with some (fairly minor) changes and not having it available at all, I think the choice is pretty clear. I know it's now what a lot of fans want, but it would be really expensive to get all those music rights.

3. I imagine it will depend on how many views the current episodes receive. If it's a hit, they'll presumably start planning more episodes sooner.

4. Virgil would be entertaining. I don't know who else would be fun in an Attitude Era version: that's a pretty great dream cast. If the Hardys were available, they'd be my top choices to add. And maybe Funaki for the sheer absurdity of it? I'd personally rather see a kayfabe version with Kane and Taker living together or Dr. Shelby doing anger management, but I don't know if that'd be as big of a hit.

5. I'm disappointed we never got a Velvet Sky/Drew Galloway team with that name.

More wrestling coming up.
