Interviews with Flair/Cody, upcoming TNA PPV, early ECW on the Network, Rhyno gets stitched up, more ROH matches, Smackdown audience, Del Rio and WWE set to part ways, ROH manager done, Taven return update, where Kalisto's been, 3rd-generation wrestler getting tryout, and Questions on Seth being reckless, Brock busting Orton open, what Brock does for WWE, PPVs running long, and why Del Rio/Paige were suspended

Ric Flair talked about potentially coming back to WWE and more:
- It'd be tough to have a faction of four women in such a small division. I don't see any reason to do it. Those four women are good enough to make their own separate legacies.

- I'm VERY glad AJ doesn't have to be a knockoff Ric Flair in WWE.

- They should save Ric's return for when there's a good reason for him to come back. If Dana turns face and they want her to have en edge against Charlotte, that would be a good angle for a Ric return as a face.

TNA will air a "Biggest Rivalries" event featuring big matches from their past on PPV and FITE TV.  It's not a bad idea to try to monetize their video library, although I'm sure they'll get flak for putting out a PPV featuring big names who no longer work for the company.

WWE Network is adding episodes from Eastern Championship Wrestling. This is the era when Tod Gordon owned the company and Paul Heyman was not yet booker. Once these shows are uploaded, the entire run of ECW TV and PPVs owned by WWE will be available on the Network.

Rhyno received eight stitches after Smackdown. That's how important it was for him to help Heath and Buelah pay for that above-ground pool.

Added to ROH's September 17 show:
- Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin vs. Matt Jackson
- Frankie Kazarian vs. Alex Shelley vs. Nick Jackson
- The Cabinet vs. ACH/Jay White/Lio Rush
- Kamaitachi vs. Jonathan Gresham

Added to ROH's September 24 show:
- Silas Young vs. Stevie Richards
- War Machine vs. ANX with Caprice Coleman

Adam Cole vs. Michael Elgin for the ROH World Championship will headline All-Star Exravaganza VIII. That could really be amazing. Good to see Elgin in a big role again.

Smackdown's audience this week was 2.84 million, making it the highest-rated cable program for Tuesday. Slater = RATINGS. Seriously, though, they've made some really impressive gains in the new timeslot. They could easily be in Raw's league soon.

WWE and Alberto Del Rio have mutually agreed to part ways once his suspension is up. In return for him not returning post-suspension, he's able to take bookings outside the U.S. immediately. Once his contract expires in late September or early October, he can immediately take bookings anywhere he wants. It's entirely possible we see him in TNA by the end of the year or in early 2017 if the two sides want to do business and the price is right. He could also end up back in LU. He's a talented guy, but it's obvious WWE's not the place for him anymore.

Truth Martini is no longer part of ROH. With Jay Lethal turning face, the House of Truth is effectively disbanded. I'm not a fan of his, but he had a following there and they probably could have done something else with him if they really wanted to.

Matt Taven is expected back in the ring for ROH in about a month after his knee surgery. After he presumably faces Adam Cole, I don't know if there's really much else to do with him.

Kalisto's currently out hurt, putting the feud with Baron Corbin on hold for the time being. The former U.S. Champion's going to really need to rebound once he's 100%; he really hasn't made a splash since coming to Smackdown.

Cody Rhodes said in a recent interview Battleground 2013 was originally going to feature a WarGames match involving himself, Goldust, and The Shield. Presumably The Rhodes Family would have another partner, too. There was also talk of him returning as the Midnight Rider for that angle after his on-screen firing, an homage to Dusty's legacy. The reason given for not doing the match was that it would block off too many ringside seats. It's also been reported previously a match with two rings would be harder for WWE to shoot the way they want it to appear on-camera. So, it was shot down. That could have been pretty interesting, but I can see why WWE didn't want to go through all the hassle of using a second ring and all that for one match.

Cedric Rougeau, son of The Mountie Jacques Rougeau, Jr., will soon get a WWE tryout. At 6'7" and around 315 lbs., he could be a real blue-chipper.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I agree with this analysis. You can be physical and fast without doing moves that are that potentially dangerous.

2. The ending of Summerslam went as planned. Orton wasn't injured beyond needing some stitches. And, notably, Brock didn't fail any Wellness tests since they don't test him. He failed UFC's test. So, they're not going to suspend him or anything.

3. I would assume Brock does bring in viewers and money they wouldn't get otherwise, given his crossover appeal. I agree Brock is booked as an absolutely dominant monster, but that's his thing. He's taking the role Taker had at Wrestlemania, although Taker's matches were generally more competitive. The goal is so it really, really, really means something big when someone does finally slay the Beast Incarnate. We'll see if that ends up paying off in the long run.

4. They don't have a time limit anymore! It's their own network and they can run as long as they want to.

5. That's unknown, since no one involved has said why they were suspended (and likely won't). I'm under the impression it would violate patient privacy laws for WWE to say why the names were suspended. So, unless Del Rio or Paige release info about what happened, we won't know if there's anything to that theory. It's definitely an interesting timing situation, but Eva Marie was also suspended pretty close to them, so it could be a coincidence after all.

More wrestling tomorrow.
