Superstars Reax - 9/3/16, Bo and Harper return updates, why Eva can still film Total Divas, NXT name turning heel?, and Questions on Bryan getting involved physically, the CWC weight limit, Holy Foley's future, The One Man Band, and the legitimacy of Japanese wrestling

Superstars:
-  G. Truth vs. S. Stars:
Primo and Epico became more valuable when the Dudleys left, effectively taking their places as the heel tag team jobbers.

Fine work so far.

Pretty basic work, but this is more or less a warm-up match for the crowd ahead of the main attractions of Raw.

WHOA WHAT!? TEAM PUERTO RICO GOT THE WIN! I wouldn't be shocked if this became something of a mini-feud for Superstars. It's not like any of them have much better to do right now.

- Rusev vs. Swagger:
I don't know. I think Swagger might have him this time. It looks like Rusev is 38-3 in one-on-one meetings with Jack going into this match. One of Swagger's wins was by DQ.

DAMN. That bump into the ring steps was ROUGH. Rusev machka indeed.

Talk about a domination. BAH GAWD THIS IS AN ASS-WHOOPIN'.

Swagger's a talented athlete, just so damaged from so many years of jobbing. It's hard to believe he was World Champion and ECW Champion.

Swagger should have taken the countout win! He's been getting wrecked for most of the match!

I love some submissions and counters.

I think Lana might stand a chance against Swagger given his win-loss record.

Bo Dallas is slated to return at Monday's Raw taping, and is scheduled to work the upcoming China/Philippines tour as well. So, it doesn't look like his arrest will affect him that much. That's what happens when you BOLIEVE! WWE should at least make him sing "Circle of Life" on TV. That could be really entertaining.

Luke Harper is set to work out at the WWEPC this week in order to assess where he is in his recovery. I'm interested to see where he'll fit into things once he's cleared to return to the ring. The obvious move is to put him back with Bray and Rowan, but I'd like to see him get a push as a singles competitor. They could at least try that on Raw. If it fails, they can do a Loser Leaves Raw match with Strowman or something and send him to join his brethren.

Eva Marie is still filming material for "Total Divas" while suspended, because while appearing on that show, she's under contract to E! rather than WWE. So, she's presumably being paid to go to the Bahamas while being unable to appear in the ring. She's got a pretty sweet gig considering how little actual wrestling they make her do.

Andrade "Cien" Almas is working as a heel on NXT live events, leading to speculation of him shifting to that role on the main roster. He reportedly did his best work as a heel in Mexico before joining WWE. With the lukewarm reactions he's gotten as a face, it's worth considering giving him a shot in that role.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I could see him being in a similar position to Edge or Christian in that one Seth Rollins angle, but they'd have to really protect him. Of course, if you want to believe unfounded Internet conspiracy theories, Bryan's totally fine and could go back to wrestling tomorrow. WWE just hates him so much they're paying him a whole lot of money just to not upstage Roman... or something.

2. I wouldn't have minded if it was 220, but I think 205 was a good cutoff.

3. Noelle's definitely been front and center in the advertisements. We'll see what happens as she presumably continues training to be a WWE superstar.

4. Heath Slater has consistently made the most of his roles. He's been a great soldier and a great part of the show. I absolutely think he can win people over as a face if they don't change what makes his character work now; he's one of the most entertaining people in the business.

5. That's part of the difference in the culture between puroresu and sports-entertainment, I suppose.

More wrestling tomorrow.
