A Brian Pillman biography has been released, supplemented by many interviews with those who knew him and his career best.

Cody vs. Kota Ibushi for the ROH World Championship has been announced for NJPW's January 4 event. I'd assume that means ROH is planning on keeping Cody champion through the end of 2017, which would seem to cut some suspense from his defenses until then. The card is always subject to change, but I wouldn't think ROH would authorize advertising a match for NJPW's biggest show of the year if they didn't intend for it to happen.

Sami Callihan is advertised for NJPW dates going forward, so it looks like he'll be able to work with them as well as Impact for the time being. I hope he's able to juggle both.

The Velveteen Dream will face Cezar Bononi on this week's NXT, and Heavy Machinery will have a match, as well. Dream's gotten further than some were expecting; I hope he can keep momentum up in 2018.

Chad Gable promoted an upcoming Smackdown event in the UK.

"The Destroyer" Dick Beyer was recently honored by the Japanese government for his work in spreading goodwill between Japan and the United States. That's amazing! I'm glad to see wrestling lauded in such a way.

Jason Jordan joining Raw's Survivor Series team is a backup plan due to Roman Reigns' status for that show being questionable. I like the idea of giving Jason that level of an opportunity. I'd think the plan for Roman if cleared would be to team with Seth and Dean against New Day.

Brock Lesnar will be on next week's Raw, six nights from Survivor Series.

205 Live will feature UK talents this week. WWE didn't fly in many members of the cruiserweight division. That should be a good change of pace, and cheaper for travel costs to boot.

Moose responded to critics of Impact Wrestling. I think the work for the show was generally pretty good; it was just something of a mess from a creative/structural standpoint. It definitely didn't feel like a major PPV.

Big Cass is set to return right after Wrestlemania. I look forward to what he does next.

Killswitch Engage is working on a theme song for WWE. I'm interested to see how that turns out, and how they ended up covering a song they don't think is good.

WWE Network's "Tribute to the Troops" collection will return this weekend for Veteran's Day.

Target is now selling WWE Hall of Fame action figures for WCW-era Eddie Guerrero, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Larry Zbyszko. That's all pretty cool.

ESPN promoted their Flair documentary again.

Becky Lynch vs. James Ellsworth is set for Smackdown. That should be a lot of fun.

Chris Jericho will host a new Travel Channel special. I'm impressed by how much he's accomplished outside of WWE.

WWE is doing a Wrestlemania party in New Orleans on November 16 featuring NXT matches to promote tickets going on sale for WM34.

WWE Network is continuing to upload World Class Championship Wrestling episodes. Mid-Atlantic Wrestling content is scheduled to be added in January. Thunder and Heat are still on-hold due to the lawsuit from Buff Bagwell and Raven.

Michelle McCool teased returning to the ring. I'd be fine with that!

WWE 2K18 has a new patch out.

The Club now have a "Nerd-O-Meter" T-shirt. I'm unimpressed with the duo from a character standpoint; they certainly don't seem like a major force.

Pro Wrestling Tees is selling signed Mr. Sockos RIGHT THERE on their website next week.

Impact Wrestling is literally casting actors as audience members for their ongoing Ottawa tapings HOLY SHIT. Free tickets is one thing, but paying people $50 a night to attend is next level. The relevant tweet was taken down, but OH. MY. GOD. Them's hard times Daddy.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. TV, social media, merch sales, Network views, etc. They realize some fans want to be "ironic" and do the opposite reaction, so now they have more of an "any reaction is a good reaction" approach.

2. I can see a situation where Stephanie tries to replace Kurt leading to Kurt vs. HHH at Mania. So, she's back to start that process. And really, Raw is "her" show as much as Smackdown is Shane's show. We just don't see her nearly as much as her brother. In other words, things could be a lot worse (and they probably will be on the road to Mania).

3. I think they can turn him heel down the line, but there's no reason to do it now. I don't dislike the idea of Stephanie getting in his ear to turn on his dad as part of the seemingly inevitable HHH/Kurt storyline, but only if it makes sense then and would elevate Jason long-term.

4. They basically just had the current man under the mask go back to performing the character and moved on as if he's the same guy. Even when WWE released the original Sin Cara, they announced it under his real name and made no mention of the character. I love it.

5. Shane knew Survivor Series was going to be Raw vs. Smackdown. He lent AJ to be part of TLC in order to let Kurt's guard down and get a big surprise attack in the next night. Even when WWE does explain every little thing, people ignore it in order to complain.

More wrestling tomorrow.
