Read on for my thoughts on last night's Impact Wrestling.
- Lucha Bros vs. Mack/Swann:
Four talented wrestlers I'm glad to see on TV.
I hope all four men have bright futures.
Penta and Fenix are very smooth.
Everyone's making the most of this opportunity.
Really great work. Everyone looked good, but the Lucha Bros looked great.
- Post-match:
This could really be interesting.
It's got to be tempting to put the title on the more well-known team.
- Konnan/LAX:
I like the acknowledgement of Konnan's past.
This should be interesting.
- Jordynne vs. Katarina:
Katarina's definitely putting up a fight.
Damn. Which talent's getting pushed here?
Not what it could have been.
- KM/Bahh/Scarlett:
Hahah that's all too common in Vegas.
Scarlett's starting to get stale, but she's over, so they'll keep doing the same thing.
- Tessa backstage:
Good luck stopping her.
- Dreamer interview:
Damn, stiff shots at Eli there.
I would not be shocked in the least to see Dreamer involved in angles five years from now.
- Valkyrie squash:
I liked that. Why couldn't Jordynne have a squash like this?
- Post-match:
I like how kickass women have been presented lately. We've come a long way from The Beautiful People.
Fun work.
- Impact/Kross:
Yeahhhh Kross has been devalued. He doesn't feel like the threat he used to feel like.
- Dezmond/Wentz vs. Bey/Mike Sydal:
This is pretty fun.
HOLY SHIT. That was a fun finisher. Good to see fresh names here.
- Kiera interview:
Eh. I'm not really compelled by her character.
- Eddie/Moose:
This is actually pretty horrifying.
Moose is such a caring friend!
- Matt Sydal/Page:
I do like the character development.
There's intrigue here for Ultimate X.
- Drake vs. Dreamer:
Tommy Dreamer is headlining an important(ish) wrestling show in 2018. How many 47-year-old names from the late '70s/early '80s were headlining shows in the Attitude Era?
Whoa, Dreamer does still have it.
HOLY SHIT ELI'S AFRAID OF DREAMER????
- Drake vs. Dreamer, restarted:
OK, the doughnut spot was actually funny.
This is goofy, but in a fun way.
We know Drake can do more than this, but it's a fun plunder bout.
WOWWWWWWW. Dreamer's surviving a lot.
Pretty badass ending. Dreamer looked strong in defeat, which probably shouldn't be a priority.
- Post-match:
Interesting. I hope Eli doesn't get destroyed by a mostly-retired Abyss.
