Nash appearance, Interviews with Manik/Show, Iron Sheik doc update, more on Orton attack, NOC poster, and Questions on wrestling as a sport, Angle's rehab, Sabu, and TTTT

Kevin Nash's appearance at a "Legends of Wrestling" night at a minor league baseball game was profiled. Baysox is an interesting name. I had to look up what the heck that meant. In other news, it looks like Kevin Nash actually is a draw in 2013. Some "smark" somewhere just had a heart attack.

X-Division Champion Manik was interviewed. Even the current face of the X-Division sees some of the problems with the triple threat format. It also felt like he was taking something of a shot at TNA's older stars. When has WWE EVER cut 50 people in a year, much less every year?

The Iron Sheik, REAL LEGEND, put out a press release to help fund his documentary. Sounds way too coherent to be directly from Sheiky baby.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The fan who attacked Randy Orton was sentenced to a fan of 500 Rand or 30 days in jail. He will no longer be allowed to attend events in Johannesburg. That's probably for the best, but I definitely think that a mental health professional needs to be involved here.

Kofi Kingston is featured on the Night of Champions poster. WWE plans can always change, but it looks like Kofi vs. Axel could be a distinct possibility that night.

Big Show was interviewed to promote the NBC "WrestleMania" special. He still hasn't been cleared to return to the ring, though WWE is hoping that that changes soon. Has it really been 2 1/2 months since he's wrestled? Wow. At any rate, Big Show always comes across well when he works with the press, and I give him a lot of credit for that. I hope that when he does hang it up, he sticks around as either an on-screen character (GM?) or WWE ambassador. I don't dislike seeing him in small doses every so often.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. This is something that fans suggest from time to time. Jim Cornette is a notable supporter of wrestling being presented seriously. But one thing at a time: a. I think keeping tracks of wins and losses would further determine who is and isn't to be taken seriously. You can argue that there's already not much of a reason to care about Jessie Godderz or whomever, but that would add an extra reminder that he's likely not going to win. b. As much as I like increased importance being placed to big matches, they only have so much TV time and I think that might be spent better with promos and such. But a brief discussion about what each person needs to do to win, etc. might be cool. c. I'm generally in favor of that kind of thing. ALL THAT SAID, matches with stories attached are almost always more important than matches that will be "good". This is true for a lot of forms of entertainment.

2. 37.8%. I don't know actually. But what they said is true. Either way, I wish him the absolute best in his recovery.

3. It's not an easy call. He is an incredibly valuable performer, but there have been a lot of outside-the-ring problems and that has to be taken into account. I think that him going to rehab is a great step and I hope that he gets all of the help that he needs. Where he goes from here depends on how well rehab goes.

4. I haven't really heard anything about him lately. He's on the Twittah Machine, though.

Nothing to add to 5.

More wrestling tomorrow.
