AJ returns, weird live event notes, Barrett update and Questions on the effects of Eddie's death, WWE sabotaging itself, social media and squash matches

AJ Lee was back in the ring at the 11/16 live event, teaming with Tamina in another loss to the Bellas. Right back to the grind...

Speaking of that live event, after a match between R-Truth and Curtis Axel, Axel asked to be introduced as still being Intercontinental Champion. Ring announcer Tony Chimel hit him with a Stone Cold Stunner for that, earning him a kiss from Nikki Bella. Sometimes WWE lets people have some more fun on live events, especially overseas when everyone's tired. Can't say I blame them.

Wade Barrett has returned to the U.S., so we could be seeing him soon. He was out renewing his work visa.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Oh, yeah. Wellness Policy, no chair shots to the head, concussion prevention, all the stuff they're doing to make the rings safer at the Performance Center... I definitely think they're addressing the issues.

2. I've heard that theory. Eddie's death definitely affected Benoit's mental state. Would Eddie being alive have completely prevented the Benoit tragedy? It's tough to say, as Benoit had other things going on mentally and physically that played a role. I don't know if there was a real chance of a happy ending there knowing what we know now.

3. Who comes up with this crazy #$*%? If anything, they'd want the PPVs to be really successful so they're a big deal if/when they put them on the Network.

4. Generally the people using social media to complain are the incredibly vocal minority. It creates kind of a "spiral of silence" where people of different opinions won't comment, because they'd be overwhelmed by the complainers. Believe it or not, there's a big audience out there who doesn't spend a lot of time talking about wrestling on the Internet.

5. You might want to read this. There are these things called "squash matches" that have been around in wrestling forever that TNA's using to build angles. You're supposed to be upset that EC3 and Gail are getting relatively weak competition. It builds it up for when they have to face someone a little more on their level.

More wrestling tomorrow.
