Main Event Reax - 11/20/13, Interviews with Daniels/Booker/Hart/Punk, Mania a moneymaker, new Survivor Series title match, another Cabana tryout? and Questions on Cena staying in WWE, WM30 ending, Sting-TNA, JBL and free agents

Main Event:
Not a bad opening Divas' match. I'm not sure why they picked those two to compete of the possibilities they had, but it wasn't insufferable. I do feel like the Divas division could use some added pizzazz. Eva Marie and Jojo aren't exactly setting the world on fire.

I'd really worry about Del Rio's chances in WWE if he couldn't knock off Santino. Good little exhibition to show what Del Rio can do.

Miz vs. Kofi isn't the most intriguing or exciting feud, that's for sure.

I liked Kofi vs. Fandango. It wasn't amazing, but they had some good moments there.

Still not super-excited about Miz vs. Kofi. It feels very thrown together.

Everything else from Wednesday is after the break.

Christopher Daniels talked. He and Kazarian work better as a team and are more valuable in that role than as singles stars. I like that there are characters who are more than just "grrr, we're going to fight". He makes a good point about the value of getting work in the indies. I enjoyed his work as Curry Man.

WWE put out a press release about how much money WrestleMania 29 generated. They look to repeat that success in April.

Update: Here's a story on the press release. New Orleans has got to be happy with how much WWE made for the NY/NJ area.

Here's a story about Booker T's career. People are STILL mad about Booker losing to HHH at WM19. I'm a little surprised we won't see Booker back in the ring at any point. I didn't expect a full-time return, but we've seen a number of people come back. Maybe some other performers who don't need to be in the ring much anymore will adopt his mindset. It's great Booker is giving back with his wrestling school. It doesn't look like Rock will be in the mix at WM30, and I don't think we really need Harlem Heat in 2014. Cody vs. Goldust could work, though.

A three-count wasn't enough for Big E Langston. He'll be defending his newly-won Intercontinental Championship against Curtis Axel at Survivor Series.

Bret Hart talked about presenting a Calgary hockey team with a replica of the WWE Championship from his era. Hopefully they won't take the prop as seriously as he did in '97.

C.M. Punk will be part of the Wizard World Portland Comic Con in January. Whoever does the local comic convention in Asheville needs to hit this guy up.

Colt Cabana was at the WWE Performance Center, so speculation is that he had another tryout as an announcer. I'd like to see what he'd do in the role.

For my take on Wednesday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Both sides are benefiting a lot from the relationship, so they intend to keep it going as long as possible.

2. I think I'd love it, too, with the right buildup and such. It's always possible it happens, but I don't know of any plans for it to occur.

3. role**. It's a clever comparison. Sting's been around and in main events more in TNA than Funk was in ECW, though.

4. I can see Vince and Kevin Dunn really being behind JBL and giving him a lot of leeway to do whatever he wants, regardless of how good it is.

5. Kharma for WWE, though she probably wouldn't make an immediate impact as they'd likely have her be fine-tuned for a while. Chris Hero MIGHT be able to make a big change in TNA. It's worth a shot. It's not like there are a ton of stars out there in their primes with enough experience in the "big leagues" to make a big splash.

More wrestling later in the day (hopefully).
