Big Show update, Fandango note, former Tag Champ returning to WWE?, new Survivor Series match, TNA press release, more on Dixie angle, TNA guest, former DX member wrestling in NXT, McIntyre bruised, new voice in WWE, ribbing Reigns, Raw audience and Questions on Haitch, Hogan, royalties, changing TNA and the Wyatts

Big Show is said to be improving after tweaking his knee on Saturday. That's good news for WWE given how important of a part he is of Survivor Series.

Fandando's wearing a Union Jack on Raw was a nod to European/UK fans being responsible for the "Fandangoing" craze. Remember when that was a thing?

Evan Bourne is expected to return to the ring by the end of the year. It will be very interesting to see how he does after being away for so long. With two Wellness strikes to his name, I doubt he'll get a big push. Mysterio and Orton are former WWE and World Champions, so WWE's more willing to give them another shot. A lot of fans have probably forgotten about Bourne by now. I think it's worth seeing how he does with dark matches and live events, but it might be wise to spend more time and energy on performers like Tyson Kidd along with NXT's Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
C.M. Punk and Daniel Bryan vs. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper of the Wyatt Family has been made for Survivor Series. I suspect that will end up being a 6-on-6 elimination match after what happened on Raw.

Here's TNA's press release for their Old School PPV. I'm interested to see what Bully and Dreamer can pull off in 2013.

Dixie Carter went to Spike because of AJ Styles "buying air time" on Impact. I wonder what else AJ will do before (presumably) returning to face the winner of the TNA Championship tournament. Could be fun.

Shark Boy was at the most recent Impact taping. I wouldn't mind him coming back to freshen things up a bit. TNA could use some levity after the Aces and Eights angle.

Billy Gunn will team with NXT Champion Bo Dallas to face Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn at an upcoming NXT live event. Gunn's siding with his old riding buddy HHH in the Authority angle. I like that that angle's spread to NXT. I hope working with Gunn elevates the games of the other people in the match and they end up becoming more polished for the main roster.

Drew McIntyre has quite the nasty bruise. There's a reason why some wrestle and others choose to just write about it. Ouch.

WWE has a new announcer in the form of Seattle's Dan Devone. I wish him well.

C.M. Punk mocked a recent Roman Reigns mishap. Kind of funny.

Raw was at 3.68 million viewers this week, not exactly a high benchmark for the series. Hopefully the Show/Orton feud achieves the purpose they want it to. It should be noted that this week's show was taped and that HHH and Stephanie weren't on it. They're two of the main characters, so I can see their absence being a reason people tuned out.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. >This is what the IWC actually believes.
Does HHH use his pull to try to be as big of a star as possible? Pretty much. As for his position, he's the VP of Talent Relations and the VP of New Talent Development. He signs talents to contracts and nurtures the future of the company with NXT and the Performance Center. He's not a part of the creative end of the company in the way you're implying.

2. I think WWE would keep a tighter leash on Hogan to make sure he doesn't hurt the company. And if he does, they'll distance themselves from him.

Nothing to add to 3. WWE doesn't feel that paying for those rights is worth whatever they'd get from having it on such a dated clip few people are watching.

4. There are a number of areas that need addressing. I think they are moving in the right direction: use the older stars to help elevate the stars of the future. They have to really evaluate how much some talents are worth in this day and age. What if they cut Sting and used that money to sign some younger talents still in their primes? Is someone like Hernandez so valuable that they'd rather have him than (insert better talent here)? Some people have been with TNA for a long time and haven't really done much for the company despite a lot of opportunities. When push comes to shove, if there are other talents who should be used in their place to complement the likes of Aries, Roode, Storm, etc., TNA's got to go in that direction.

Creatively, the rules are pretty simple: there should be more involved in putting matches and stories together than "they'll do a bunch of big bumps/crazy moves". What major star has made it big on that alone? Speaking of which, I'd have Al Snow and Justin Credible as teachers for some of these young'uns who are killing themselves with big bumps. Ring psychology feels like a lost art for a lot of stars.

On that note, don't try to appeal to "smarks" with shoot names and all that. That shouldn't be the audience you try to make money from, as they're notoriously fickle and stingy.

I'm sure there are other things. That's a start, though.

5. I don't see the gimmick/team lasting as its current incarnation forever, but I can see Bray and Harper in particular doing well for a while. Wrestling is notoriously unpredictable, but both have the tools to succeed.

More wrestling tomorrow.
