New old school DVDs, Hogan appearance, more on TNA's schedule, TNA/OVW relationship over?, Interviews with Miz/RVD/Mysterio/Iron Sheik/Striker, classic wrestling tattoo, big wrestling film festival, Raw remarks picked up, Flair appearance, Carter memo, wrestling moves used in manslaughter, Impact tease, Corgan addresses TNA rumor, Raw audience, Impact preview, TNA seeking new hires and Questions on HHH behind-the-scenes, Rock, TNA (or anyone) catching WWE, match stipulations and Cena vs. JBL

Highspots.com has some new DVDs featuring old wrestling footage. That's pretty cool, since WWE doesn't have or use certain footage.

Hulk Hogan will be on Oprah's "Where Are They Now" series next season. Where he will be on 4/6/14 is a question a lot of people want answered.

Here's a piece on TNA returning to Universal Studios in Orlando. I love how they're skirting the issue of how going on the road didn't go well for them at all. Dixie does have a background in PR.

TNA talents training in OVW have been told to relocate to Orlando, so it looks like that relationship is done. Hopefully that's a good thing for those talents.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The Miz talked ahead of the Smackdown taping in Charlotte, NC. I look forward to seeing Harper vs. Bryan from that show.

Here's a story on a fan with a tattoo of an older design of the WWE Championship across his stomach and back. That's dedication.

RVD talked about a number of topics, including an update on his WWE status. I really enjoy Sam Roberts as an interviewer - he's knowledgeable and relaxed. He has a good conversational style. I hope RVD working with those less-experienced names is helping those performers out.

Here are details on a wrestling film festival in NYC. It'd be great to be able to travel to a bunch of events like that.

Rey Mysterio gave an update on when we'll see him back in the ring.

We waited for you, Rey.

It feels like the wrestling world is slowly but surely passing Rey by. He's become less and less a part of WWE the past few years due to his injuries and suspensions, to the point where I don't see WWE getting behind him as a top player unless he really comes back strong. I wonder how much longer he can hold out, even as a part-timer.

A Toronto paper picked up JBL's remarks about Mayor Rob Ford. Slow news day there?

The Iron Sheik talked to AskMen.com about their Top 49 list. Please give this guy a news show on the WWE Network.

Matt Striker talked about his history with wrestling. His attitude of doing whatever was asked of him is great. Sadly, a degree doesn't mean as much as it used to. All in all, nice read from a smart guy.

Ric Flair will be doing a signing at Xtreme Sports and Entertainment's MMA Unleashed event in Punta Gorda, Florida on 11/23. Not sure what he has to do with MMA, but it's not my event.

Here's the memo Janice Carter sent out about the TNA sale rumors. I totally want to see a Dixie/Janice feud, just out of morbid curiosity.

A 13-year-old plead guilty to manslaughter for using wrestling moves in killing his half-sister. Wow. That got heavy. My heart goes out to everyone affected.

Dixie Carter says that a former World Champion will be on Impact. I predict a swerve where it's a former world champion of darts or something. I'd like to think that Jeff Jarrett would get bigger build than that.

Billy Corgan fired back at reports about him not being able to afford buying TNA. The Observer gets no sympy from me if their story is false.

Raw's audience was 3.89 million this week. It should be noted that Monday's NFL game did really well in the ratings. WWE's got to hope for bigger things in Survivor Series season.

Set for Impact:
-Sting delivers a "State of MEM" address. I'm guessing that will continue his feud with Magnus.
-a medical update on Kurt Angle
-Brooke vs. ODB vs. Velvet Sky to determine the #1 Contender to the TNA Knockouts Championship (i.e. Lei'D Tapa's next victim).
-Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Sabin in a Full Metal Mayhem match in the TNA World Championship tournament

TNA is seeking writers and producers. New blood could be good for them.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. He's been described as insecure about his place in THIS BUSINESS and wanting to be seen as as much of a big deal as possible. But he's also behind the WWE Performance Center and a lot of WWE's highly-praised signings of the past few years. What he's like away from work is anyone's guess.

2. I'm not sure what people were expecting out of that. I don't see him being a regular part of WWE from here on out due to his busy Hollywood schedule. There were plans for him to face BROCK. LESNAR. at WM30, but his injuries and Hollywood schedule look to have changed that idea.

3. Any company looking to dethrone WWE has its work cut out for it. It's always possible that someone can come along and shake things up, but it doesn't look like that's happening any time soon. TNA had a chance to make it big with a lot of the people they've had on-board, but it's never panned out. I think it's still possible, though. Since trying to reach that next level with older names hasn't worked, maybe it's time to get behind the wrestlers in their primes?

4. Pretty much that. FCA matches aren't necessarily no-DQ. I'd like to see another FCA match before too much longer. It's one gimmick that hasn't been done to death just yet.

5. I haven't seen anything about JBL getting back in the ring. I think it was just Cena getting shots in on an old rival. It would be cool to revisit their feud given where both men are now, though. I wouldn't have it headline multiple PPVs or anything, but having them go at it again while JBL can still (presumably) "go" could be cool.

More wrestling tomorrow.
