Another Muppets/WWE crossover, pre-Turning Point angle, DOO at NXT, the next Great Khali, Maven AMA, Vachon passes away, Hall and Roberts face scam allegations, big TNA/Dixie piece, Interview with Hogan, Survivor Series pre-show note, Tribute airdate and Questions on NXT, musical chairs, changing wrestling history and the former Sami Callihan

Hornswoggle is a part of an upcoming Muppets movie. I wonder if his tattoos will be a plot point?

TNA shot an angle where Bobby Roode attacked James Storm in a bar before their match on the Turning Point edition of Impact. If they were trying to promote it as something not scripted as part of the show, it would have been wise to not put it on the #Impact365 page.

Kane was at the most recent NXT taping. That makes sense with his new job title.

An Indian wrestler who has been christened "New Khali" is training in Japan to become a WWE superstar.
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Maven Huffman, winner of the first Tough Enough, did an AMA on Reddit. Very enjoyable insight. I got a kick out of the Simon Dean character.

Wrestling legend, WWE Hall of Famer and former AWA Champion Mad Dog Vachon has passed away. More on his career here.

Scott Hall and Jake "The Snake" Roberts refuted allegations they've "ripped off" the people who donated to assist in their recovery. I don't know how true those allegations are, but I'd wager a lot more people know Scott Hall by that name than as Razor Ramon.

Sports Illustrated did a piece on Dixie Carter and TNA. Very good stuff. I admire Dixie's drive to be successful, and TNA does have its differences from WWE.

Hulk Hogan talked about the darkest period of his life. He's right about it being great to get away from negativity.

The kickoff show for Survivor Series is listed as being an hour long. I wonder how much of that time will be taken up by Miz vs. Kofi.

WWE's "Tribute To The Troops" special will air at 8 p.m. on 12/28 and will be an hour long. It's hard to believe that's been going on as long as it has.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. NXT's still going strong. They just haven't announced any new tapings yet.

2.

3. The tragedies and injuries were definitely the first things to come to mind. Maybe changing some things in WCW so it would have done better for longer and made more healthy competition? WWE could definitely use someone on its heels right now.

4. He hasn't been down in NXT all that long, really. I think it's rather early to expect him to have a big role given that fact.

More wrestling tomorrow.
