Supercard of Honor XI Reax

Read on for my thoughts on last night's ROH special event.

- Scurll vs. Cole:
Wow. Cole's working the first match on the show? I guess they do expect him to leave soon.

Good work early.

I'm curious how Cole will theoretically make in the NXT/WWE environment. Is he TOO indie?

Fine work with some silliness thrown in.

God, this "heel vs. heel" dynamic combined with "it's all just fun anyway" mentality is shit.

This is a mess. A little sloppy and too much comedy.

Both men are pretty talented.

They're stretching this one out a LOT.

Oh my God. A this is awesome chant this early????

Funny Tombstone spot.

OK, I guess. Not what it could have been.

- Video package:
Awkward since this stuff hasn't happened on ROH TV yet.

- Kingdom/Silas/Bruiser:
Man the Kingdom tries WAAAAAYYYYY too hard. Too indie for me.

Blah blah blah blah blah.

Way to almost put another Kingdom member on the shelf, Taven.

Flippy moves on display.

Not good. Trying too hard with the big moves instead of telling a good story.

This is just kind of an odd combination of styles that's not meshing well.

Ehhhhhhhh. The sooner this night's over, the better.

- Bully promo:
Yeah this comes across as a big ego stroke for Bully. Maybe he's compensating for realizng Impact and WWE don't think he's as valuable as he does.

- Bully/Briscoes vs. Page/Guerrillas:
The Briscoes can be pretty fun, since they bring some pretty serious brawling power.

I guess everyone's just there to have fun tonight. I wish WWE actually was buying this company.

Blah blah blah. Bully puffing up his ego. "I'm a big important star guys! Really!"

Bully's still got something left in the tank.

People still trying to live off ECW 15 years later is kind of sad, really.

The Briscoes are good enough to do bigger things, but they're content to work this place.

More trying too hard with fancy innovative moves. Takeover is eating this show alive.

You know, big moves and stuff. NEXT.

- Lethal/Cody:
This could have been one hell of a serious match, but the cutesy entrances ruin it.

- Cody vs. Lethal:
This is at least good now that it's in the ring.

Spoke too soon. Cutesy cartwheels don't belong in a grudge match.

I thought Cody didn't want to be known as Goldust's brother. Yet, he's doing a signature spot.

Mehhhhh. The audience should just head out and watch Takeover.

This is having its good moments now that they're being serious.

Lethal finally kicking some ass.

Cody playing off his relatives is kind of lame. This could be quite the match if they took it seriously.

Yeah, this sucks. A handspring elbow in a serious blood feud? Get that out of here.

Good use of the bell at least.

THEY'RE HAVIN FUN ITS AWFUL MAGGLE HAHA.

God just end this farce already.

Terrible ending. Lethal might actually just be a B- player.

- Post-match:
Disappointing. I had hopes for Cody bringing ROH up a notch, but this show just isn't clicking.

- Cheeseburger/Ferrara vs. Taylor/Rhett vs. MCMG:
OH GOD AN ADDITIONAL  MATCH????? This will go on forever.

Trying too hard. Comedy match. ROH needs someone new in charge.

More bleh action.

Pretty much a mess. MCMG can at least do good flips.

- Post-match:
I like Punishment well enough. He'll probably be awful tonight, too, though.

- Martinez vs. Kazarian:
Frankie's pretty good.

Martinez is a solid athlete, but does every big guy need to do dives?

Not bad, really.

Kazarian can be a top guy in ROH. I mean, if Lethal can be champion that long, he should be able to.

This isn't bad, as they're doing a pretty good story.

WOW HOLY SHIT. I think that did more to hurt Frankie than build Punishment.

- Fish/Silas:
Both men go pretty hard.

I'm fine with this being a feud.

- Ospreay/Volador Jr. vs. White/D. Lee:
I hope you like flips and tryhard "strong style."

MAN this is going to be a long night.

You know, moves and stuff.

Ohh wow look at the cool stunts.

I mean, everyone's working hard and doing nice moves.

The high-flyers can do really good moves.

UUUGGGGHHHHHH this is just a bunch of spots!!

Moves and moves and moves and moves and moves.

Mercifully, it's over.

- Daniels vs. Castle:
And more comedy. uuuuggggghhhh.

This could be a really solid match if the rest of the show wasn't so bad.

The action's good.

NICE Koji Klutch spot.

This is going well! I'm finally liking a match on this show!

Dalton's not bad at all. I'd love to see him head to NXT.

Nice work they've got going on here!

This is really solid.

And a good ending! I like it!

- Post-match:
Looks like we're in for Cody vs. Daniels at War of the Worlds. That could be pretty good if Cody has his working boots on.

- Hardys vs. Bucks:
Imagine sitting through a lot of that other dreck just to see the Hardys. Hopefully people learned their lesson going to an ROH show instead of Takeover.

This one's starting out pretty crazy.

Pretty good so far. Both teams going all out.

Wow. Twist of Fate already?

Fun ladder carnage.

Pretty wild action at times.

Jeff takes some INSANE bumps. Jesus, dude.

The Bucks always pull out some crazy moves. I can't fault their work ethic.

All four of these men are delivering some real carnage. Man.

Really crazy acrobatics. Hats off to the Bucks for that craziness.

The Bucks are taking some insane bumps themselves. Man. I hope it's worth it.

This is wild as hell!

Tables, Ladders, and Flips OH MY!!!!!

That was impressive as hell. No faulting the Bucks for the effort they always put in. Man.

- Post-match:
That was pretty cool. The Hardys definitely don't owe anyone any more bumps after all they've gone through. Damn.

We'll see if Matt and Nero come work for Meekmahan soon.

More wrestling tomorrow.
