More on WWE appearance, AXS series tapings set, Interviews with Lawler/Kane/Ronda/Cyborg, more SDL visitors, MYC announcers and airdates, SDL audience, MYC dark match, more on Aleister-NXT, Impact taping matches set, and Questions on how WWE uses talent, Y2J at G1 Supercard and WM35, comparing Braun to Ryback, Heyman's contract, and Brock taking the title to UFC

Summerslam Night with the Brooklyn Cyclones will feature Big Show, Mark Henry, Ember Moon, and Dana Warrior.

AXS TV's Women of Wrestling will tape on October 10 and October 11 in California for a 2019 debut. Santana Garrett, Amber O'Neal, Barbie Hayden, and Katie Forbes have been announced for those dates. It's a shame Santana's not in the Mae Young Classic or otherwise on WWE's radar, but maybe this will get her noticed somewhere.

Jerry Lawler spoke in-depth about his son's passing, which remains under investigation.

Kane discussed wrestling in an interview with Rolling Stone. As this is a wrestling blog, I will not comment on any of his political statements.

Big Show and Jonathan Coachman were at Smackdown Live.

The Mae Young Classic announce team is Michael Cole, Renee Young, and Beth Phoenix. Mauro Ranallo will be a correspondent. The series will air weekly beginning September 5. I'm surprised they're not doing the route they took last year with releasing four episodes at once, but they're trying to build to the finals at Evolution.

Smackdown Live drew 2.20 million viewers this week, a notable drop from last week.

Before the Mae Young Classic, Britt Baker defeated Tesha Price. Baker is working All In, so WWE probably didn't want to showcase her on their show. That could end up being a tryout for her to be signed, though, as All In has raised the profile of everyone on the show.

Aleister Black's injury is legitimate, and he's not expected to work Takeover:Brooklyn. That's unfortunate given how great he's been. It's going to be tough to deliver yet another Gargano/Ciampa Takeover match.

Impact Wrestling has announced the following matches for Sunday's TV taping:
- Pentagon Jr. vs. Sami Callihan in a Mexican Death Match
- Su Yung vs. Allie vs. Tessa Blanchard for the Knockouts Championship
- Joe Hendry vs. Tyson Dux
- LAX in action
-- Those first two matches are pretty notable.

Ronda Rousey discussed working WrestleMania and more. Ronda could absolutely headline WM35.

Cris Cyborg discussed facing Ronda Rousey in WWE. That was some serious smack talk. I like it.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. There are only so many spots on the roster, and as more talented people are signed, more talented people are going to end up in the undercard and midcard as WWE focuses on other workers. This happens in other sports too at times when talented minor league stars move into a league with a lot of other hard workers with good resumes.

2. I don't see it happening. I definitely think WWE will want to get talents like Omega and Okada on their shows, but it will be by signing them away from NJPW. As for Jericho, I expect WWE will make him an offer to work for them that weekend. It will be a very important weekend for the business.

3. I don't think so. Braun's more of a monster in the vein of Kane or Big Show. Ryback was just a strong guy. Ryback could probably still be in WWE if he was willing to be lower on the card/paid less. I think Braun, given his size, will able to have a longer career than Ryback, and likely a more versatile one as well.

4. The story has been that Heyman's deal is tied to Brock's as far as length goes, but obviously he appears more often. Heyman also doesn't want to be a full-time WWE performer, but certainly not to the degree Brock is.

5. Brock will hold the title as long as Vince thinks it makes sense for him to hold the title. So, yes, it's entirely possible he's Universal Champion for any upcoming UFC bouts.

More wrestling tomorrow.
