Main Event Reax - 5/4/19, AEW star wins Stardom gold, WWE digital series coming to Network, Impact taping main event, Table for 3 with wrestler wives after Raw, Impact and HOH collaborating for shows, Interviews with Ronda/Bauer+Konnan/Carmella/Cathy/Henry, Y2J returning to NJPW, why SDL show was moved, Roman appearing Monday (?), Impact attendance, Impact guests, another Impact Plus event set, local Raw matches, SDL segments set, WWE in HeroClix, Y2J+Omega at indie show, Tanahashi return set, and the newest Bullet Club member

--Main Event:
- Mojo vs. Slater:
Well that definitely made Mojo look dominant.

- Cesaro vs. Cedric:
Awww man. Sad to see these two stuck here.

Good work so far.

I like this so far.

I like Cedric not being able to hit Cesaro's signature move on him.

Pretty solid.

- IIconics promo:
Vintage heat.

- IIconics vs. Alicia/Tamina:
Hey they really can appear on any show! Can't wait to see them defend on 205 Live.

Fun continuity with the IIconics not wanting to get involved with Tamina.

The IIconics are getting more confident as wrestlers. Good to see.

Wow. A clean win from the IIconics. We don't see that often.

AEW's Bea Priestley is now World of Stardom Champion. She will be moving to Japan after Double or Nothing in order to work Stardom regularly on top of her AEW duties. Looks like her profile is about to really grow.

"My Son/Daughter is a WWE Superstar" is coming to WWE Network's on-demand section tomorrow.

Impact's Saturday TV taping was headlined by Sabu, Rob Van Dam, and Tommy Dreamer vs. Moose and The North. Sabu and RVD first teamed in 1996.

"Table for 3" after Raw will feature Reby Hardy, Kim Orton, and Giovanna Angle. I'm really interested to see how that goes.

Impact and House of Hardcore are doing an Impact Plus show in the former ECW Arena on June 8 with a show featuring The Great Muta's debut in the venue. Tommy Dreamer, Rich Swann, Little Guido, Teddy Hart, Joey Ryan, and Billy Gunn have been announced for the show, too. That's a pretty interesting mix of stars!

- Impact and HOH are also doing a Twitch special on June 9 in New York. This was originally HOH 55.

Ronda Rousey appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Chris Jericho is set for NJPW Dominion on June 9, where he'll challenge Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. I don't assume this is part of a deal between NJPW and AEW, but just one between NJPW and Jericho. Regardless, that's a big and attention-getting match.

MLW's Court Bauer and Konnan discussed opportunities for wrestling with WWE declining and more:
- It definitely makes sense to go for a different audience than WWE caters to.

- WWE has definitely struggled to connect to certain audiences.

- There's a battle between what WWE (Vince) wants to do, and what direction fans want WWE to go.

- WWE puts out a LOT of content each week, and it's got to run people down to have to fill that much space.

Smackdown Live's Monday live event was postponed so WWE could feature a number of that brand's stars on Raw ahead of Money in the Bank. Of course, WWE also wants to boost the ratings for the show. The brand extension's days might be numbered if these moves continue.

- Roman Reigns has already announced he'll appear Monday. WWE then pretended the brand split matters by tweeting he won't be there because he's not a Raw superstar, which would seem to be counterproductive if they want to get a boost for him appearing.

Impact's Friday TV taping drew around 200-250 fans. Ouccccccch. That's with an announced RVD vs. Tommy Dreamer main event.

- Matt Striker and DJ Hyde were at the taping.

Impact has set an Impact Plus special for July 5 in Texas. This is the night before they work with Booker T.'s Reality of Wrestling.

Raw's July 15 episode is locally advertising:
- Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin for the WWE Universal Championship
- AJ Styles and Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre

Smackdown Live has announced:
- Shane McMahon declaring new Smackdown Tag Team Champions (I unironically want him to try to declare himself and Elias the new champions. Obviously THE BIG DOG will have something to say about that and someone else will step up).
- Kevin Owens "responds to" Kofi Kingston
- Bayley, Carmella, and Ember Moon vs. Charlotte Flair, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville
- Ali vs. Andrade

Carmella discussed launching a wine brand. Notably it doesn't feature anything WWE-related.

WWE has entered HeroClix with past and present stars.

Cathy Kelley was interviewed by Sam Roberts.

Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega appeared at Southern Honor Wrestling's Friday show, with the two men doing an angle with local stars before Omega put the promotion over in a promo. It's amazing two stars at that level are making unannounced appearances at indie shows to promote AEW. Very grassroots.

Hiroshi Tanahashi will return to NJPW action at their June 5 event.

El Phantasmo has joined NJPW and Bullet Club to join the Best of Super Juniors tournament.

Mark Henry put over Sami Zayn's promos on "Busted Open" recently.

More wrestling tomorrow.
