Death Before Dishonor Reax

Read on for my thoughts on last night's ROH PPV.
-- Pre-show:
- Cobb vs. Brody:
This is pretty fun.

I like mobile big men clobbering each other.

This is a hot start!

Yeah both men look great in this one.

That was really awesome!

- Castle/Hendry:
Well this is a change of pace.

This is such an odd fit for ROH. I guess it's better than some of the bland stuff they do, though.

-- DBD:
- Scurll vs. Colt:
Good back and forth. ROH knows how to tell a story.

This is pretty good.

These two play off each other really well.

Good work!

- PCO vs. Kenny:
I'm fine with this having a different feel.

PCO is unreal.

PCO's gimmick is such a breath of fresh air. He stands out a lot.

This had some crazy spots, in different ways. This tournament has some real VE participation.

- Klein vs. Love:
I like this being a fight after all they've been through, instead of trying to out highspot each other.

This is actually fairly solid.

Damn I would have thought Love was going to take it there.

So it looks like The Allure thing is continuing.

- Post-match:
So umm is Maria going to wrestle or just keep doing this?

- Lethal vs. Gresham:
These two are always smooth.

This is quite good!

I love how these two work together. They always deliver.

There's a good story here. Gresham's frustrated and it shows.

Both men look like they can take this one. I like it.

That was awesome!

- Silas/Vincent vs. Bouncers:
I like the hot start here.

Damn. The Bouncers aren't playing around.

Good work here. They're going hard.

CHRIST that darts spot.

Jesus they're murdering each other.

That was INSANE. ROH is reminding people it can still deliver.

- Taylor vs. Tracy vs. Flip vs. Dragon:
Well it looks like Taylor and ROH "worked things out."

Pretty fun so far. ROH does multi-man matches well.

There's a really good variety of styles here.

Lee is INSANE. This is really good.

That was good!

- Briscoes vs. Bandido/Haskins:
Good tag story here.

I like how these sides mesh.

Everyone on this show is giving it their all. Glad to see it.

Great work from everyone.

It's going to take a lot to beat anyone in this one.

Wow. That was impressive.

- Post-match:
Oh. And this show was going so well!

Yeah, that sucked the air out of things. Fans who might have given ROH another chance are going to point to this and The Allure as reasons to stay away.

- Taven vs. Rush:
Oh I like the fire here.

Good physicality here.

Taven's delivering. Glad to see it.

I love Rush. He always feels like an uncaged beast out for destruction.

This is pretty badass. Taven's in trouble.

HOLY SHIT. Big win for Rush, and a real changing of the guard.

- Post-match:
Can't help but think this is goodbye. If only there were some live wrestling TV shows coming up he could join. Maybe on Wednesday nights?
