-- Main Event:
- Jose vs. Mojo:
Not bad in the early going.

I'm impressed with both men here.

Fine work. It didn't just feel like they were killing time.

- Dana vs. Logan:
The rivalry continues!!

I like Sarah's mean streak.

There's good fire in this one.

I liked that!

Hornswoggle is on Edge and Christian's latest podcast.

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch were at Chicago's NFL opener.

Gerald Brisco is working on a book. That could be pretty great given all he's done in the business.

Becky Lynch spoke about NXT moving to USA and more. I see where she's coming from with NXT's growth. It's entirely possible NXT would have ended up on TV in 2019 without AEW coming into the picture.

Walter discussed Drew McIntyre coming to NXT UK. That match would be off the charts.

Braun Strowman is on vacation this weekend ahead of Clash of Champions.

Baron Corbin is on Sam Roberts' latest podcast.

Lio Rush has released a music video. So that's what he's up to while WWE has him on the bench.

Raw has announced:
- Rey Mysterio vs. Gran Metalik. As best as I can tell, they've never faced off before.
- AJ Styles vs. Cedric Alexander in a non-title match
- Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley. That's a PPV-worthy match.

Becky Lynch is featured in a trio of SportsCenter ads: Video 1 Video 2 Video 3 Pretty cool exposure for her.

Bound For Glory has announced Pro Wrestling NOAH's Naomichi Marufuji will be in action. His match will be set up on an upcoming Impact episode. This does help make that show feel meaningful.

OVW is beginning to air live on local television this Wednesday. The show then moves to Thursdays on October 3 in order to avoid the NXT/AEW battle.

Todd Pettengill has launched a daily radio show for subscribers.

Zelina Vega is doing a signing at a Cricket Wireless store before Tuesday's Smackdown Live.

Raw has canceled tonight's live event due to expected bad weather from Hurricane Dorian.

Ricochet spoke to Sports Illustrated:
- Pretty amazing he'd never been to a U.S. baseball game before.

- Interesting update about Kacy.

- Props to him for not putting himself as one of the top wrestlers in the world, although plenty of fans would give him that honor.

AAA's Invading NY event has added:
- The Lucha Bros vs. Ortiz and Santana for the AAA Tag Team Championship
- Cain Velasquez, Brian Cage, and Psycho Clown vs. Texano, Jr., Taurus, and Scorpion King.
-- Notable by his absence is Killer Kross, who was originally set to work with Cain Velasquez again. Impact reportedly pressured AAA to drop Kross from the show, since Impact is promoting the event and they're at an impasse with Kross. Impact's latest TV tapings were in Kross' hometown of Las Vegas and they didn't use him, so that should tell you where things are between the two sides. As for the announced matches, both could have been used to build hype and sell tickets if they were promoted earlier.

Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and Candice LeRae are set for meet-and-greets at EVOLVE 135 and EVOLVE 136. Ciampa and Gargano will also be guests at the tryout before EVOLVE 135.

Mark Briscoe is returning to action at Global Wars Espectacular Chicago tonight. He and Jay Briscoe will team up in a triple threat match also involving the teams of Rey Bucanero and Hechicero and The Bouncers.

- The show will also final the Top Prospect Tournament semifinals between Austin Gunn and Dante Caballero.

Impact has signed Daga. He was in action at both Nevada tapings this week.

Big E promoted a Smackdown Live show. I hope he's got a lot of accolades ahead of him.

Josh Alexander recently worked through a 104 degree fever. That's INSANE.

Chris Jericho's newest T-shirt had the best 24-hour sales in Pro Wrestling Tees history. The power of memes is real.

Kane will be part of an MCW convention on October 5. So he's still taking a few dates here and there.

ROH has set a Future of Honor show on September 20 in Maryland. Jenny Rose, Sumie Sakai, and the Soldiers of Savagery will be in action as well as some FOH prospects.

Former WWE star Robbie McAllister held a seminar in Ontario. I'm not sure if he still wrestles.

Booker T.'s wrestling school was profiled.

Aliens in wrestling were profiled.

At NXT's September 6 Florida live event:
- MJ Jenkins worked her first live event since July 13, teaming with Xia Li to defeat Aliyah and Venessa Borne.
- Babatunde worked his first live event since July 20, teaming with Bronson Reed and Boa in a loss to all three Forgotten Sons.

At Raw's September 6 live event, Robert Roode worked his first live event since August 4, losing to Cedric Alexander.

For my take on the first set of yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'm under the impression that they draw better crowds with Dreamer, Sabu, Van Dam, etc. on the card. It's possible Swinger was going to be brought in even if those names weren't given the role they intend him for.

2. Nothing has been announced.

3. Hey just because no one's watching/attending, that doesn't mean NJPW isn't still sending talents! The Guerrillas of Destiny just had a long feud with The Briscoes, and Chase Owens worked a few dates recently. Jeff Cobb just worked G1. The relationship is still intact and they're still on good terms; it's just a matter of NJPW preferring to use their talents for their own U.S. events rather than wearing them down in front of smaller crowds teaming with ROH.

4. I know it's something NJPW is working toward and has a plan for. I don't him to face Ospreay. He'll probably be lower on the card.

5. He's expected to re-sign.

For my take on the second set of yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to add to 1.

2. He definitely seemed much happier than when he was on the road full-time, and he's left a lot of past negative feelings behind. That's good to see. While I don't think there's a great chance he'll come back to WWE, it's not as out of the question as it was when the Amann lawsuit was going on.

3. I really, really don't think AEW is going to move nights this close to the debut. Unless they get hammered in the ratings compared to what was in that timeslot previously, they're going to have every chance to succeed. The current timeslot also keeps them from being moved aside for the NBA, which has an established deal for other dates starting in January. As for the ratings war, AEW has a LOT more to lose in a head-to-head battle. WWE was willing to run NXT at a loss of millions of dollars a year before the new USA and FOX deals. Now they're pretty much bulletproof.

4. They didn't think he was a strong promo/compelling personality. That hindered him. He got more or less put in that "good hand" role of someone who could reliably have good matches with anyone, so they used him to help others shine.

5. WWE decides how names are pronounced, and they understandably keep to American pronunciations.

More wrestling tomorrow.
